Thanks Retro. Well done...and for free to WG!

Why didn't you just post the code Domo?

Another good reason not to use CCs to do WG job.

Without the CC's the Scavenger Hunt wouldn't exist, soooooo... :P

In all seriousness, though, if my family was dealing with a medical emergency, releasing a bonus code would be the least of my worries.

Let's give Nando the benefit of the doubt and keep in mind that sometimes emergencies come up. I do wish he would have notified us sooner but if something particularly bad is going on with his family and it all happened quickly, I can see how he might have forgotten about it entirely.

edit: Also, it's probably worth mentioning that I was mistaken about the Credit Boosts: namely they were able to fix the missions so they award Credit Boosts - we will still be compensating players with Credit Boosts retroactively but only for the first 4 days that the boosters weren't being awarded.

All players that completed the "Scavenger Hunt" repeatable mission and earned the XP boosters but not the Credit Boosters will get the missing Credit Boosters they should have received for completing those missions between Nov 1st and 4th.

Then the CCs are paying out the rewards, what is WG doing in this then. The CCS are failing terribly.

What is WG's doing in this? Theyre literally the ones providing the rewards to their CCs to give to us. Without both parties, the CCs and Wargaming, the Scavenger Hunt wouldnt exist and you would be getting nothing. Youre free to not participate if you dont like the premise behind the event.

It is a scavenger hunt after all. One is supposed to look around.

Considering most of them (all ?) have a job and things to do besides creating content fo this game I happen to think that this thing is working out quite well

I get free stuff for simply visiting a streamer's channel (or checking WC's code thread) and playing the game as usual.

The CCs get some extra traffic, in this latest case a Spanish speaking CC who probably doesn't get too much traffic compared to others
WG get whatever they feel they're getting out of it or they would obviously stop this

I give WG a hard time about lots of stuff but I fail to see what's negative about this event, yes you need to be on the ball about finding the codes but the life of the codes was extended for this version so even if a CC is late in posting a code all you have to do is check the code thread in the main forum and you're good. And in the case something goes very wrong and you do miss a code WG is giving out 3 extra codes to make it easier to get 31 codes

Again, where's the problem ?

i think it could exist if wargaming would put up a 5 minute youtube video or a news flash story everyday that we must read or watch to find the codes.

That way we don't have to wait all day for someone to promote their site or if a family emergency came on and we are still waiting.

Thanks for the update and getting us the Credit Boosts! For those of us who completed the mission during the first 4 days, will the Credit Boosts be given to us automagically or will we need to submit support tickets? Thanks!

They could also give us codes for having us post a video doing pushups. However, just like your idea, that is not the point of the scavenger hunt, the point is to provide incentive for people watching CCs. What is so hard to understand about it?

If the goal was only to give codes for boosters, they could just put it on their site like the weekend event codes. However, that's not the point.

Maybe we are not interested in watching CCs.

Fair enough, then the Scavenger Hunt is not for you.

Not everyone participates in Ranked as for some, the time it is active does not work with their schedule. Not everyone is in a Clan as they cannot commit the time many clans demand. Not everyone plays Frontline, for a multitude of reasons. Point is, not everything in World Of Tanks works for everyone, some can't or choose not to participate in various events/programs.

With the Scavenger Hunt, that was designed as a way to draw attention to the Community Contributors, you don't have to watch CCs and Wargaming doesn't owe you anything for not watching. You are not entitled to the benefits if you choose not to participate, it is really that simple.
