It's hard to find any info on this, but I was wondering if it's even worth starting to grind for the AE Phase 1 this next frontlines episode? I played for the first 2 episodes, but didn't go all out or anything. Not far enough to get even the STA-2 yet so it'd basically be from scratch. Is this even do-able with the new boosters and stuff? Not sure if there are only a limited amount of episodes or if the mode will go away soon along with the chance to get the tank. Thanks for any help in advance

If you don't sleep, eat, talk to anyone, or get distracted, maybe. Good luck.

Simple answer: No.

you would have to spend a lot of time even with boosters...don't waste your time in it.

Whats your current prestige level? If you're at 7 or higher it might be doable with boosters and some serious grinding...not sure it's worth it though.

The AE-1 is good if you can hide the hull, otherwise it gets penned by everything it runs into, is slow, a giant target for artillery, etc.

It's a cool tank, don't get me wrong, but it's not particularly great.

I like my AE. It's better than the M103.

There's only one episode left in this season so I don't think so.

Are the prestige points not carried over seasons ?

It's not "miserable".  In fact, it's a ton of fun. But grinding the tier 9 award tank is a practical impossibility with only a week to do it.

That's not exactly much of an accomplishment.

You can grind out two prestige per episode (week) if you play with dedication -- i.e., like it's your side job.  That's what I did for the first two episodes, to max out my Prestige level (end of Episode 2, I had Prestige IV).  I got the Emil 1951 and the AE Phase I by the end of Episode 8.

As a practical consideration, I considered getting the STA-2, as I would rather have a trainer for Japanese MT rather than Swedish HT or American HT.  So I pondered getting the STA-2 + Gold + Bonds instead of the Emil and AE...also consider that you can use any of the non-AE tanks *in* FrontLines, so that's an investment that pays for itself.

In any case, for how relatively simple FrontLines is, and fun it can be, I think the rewards are a nice bonus.  But I wouldn't work for them.  Play it if you enjoy it...but ultimately, I do think it's very late to chase the AE Phase I.

You can easily get more than 2 prestiges per week without playing like it's your job. It really all depends how consistently you can get the general rank. If you get it every match you can easily grind a 2 prestiges on the weekend alone.

I'd also argue that the Emil is a lot more competitive for frontlines than the STA-2 but it's not as bad as the WZ-111 at least.

If you do the math for if it's possible or not you get something like this.  23 minutes per battle, assuming you get general every battle it's 1200 points, to prestige once you need 30500 points.  So to go up one rank you need to play 26 battles, then 26 battles x 23 minutes per is 598 minutes per prestige.  Or roughly 10 hours per prestige, so to go from one to ten takes 90 hours of solid play.

Now that is assuming you make general every battle and they end slightly early.  The boosters would cut that in half, but your still no lifeing the crap out of the game at this point.

Are you going to get General every match while running boosters?  Still no.  Grind out some credits if you enjoy the mode.

I don't think so, they are cashed in for gold and bonds. Which is what I'm gonna do, I couldn't care less about the AE.

Give me my bonds.
