hay im not shure if this is whare i should post this question but im looking for an old ELC AMX remodel whare it gave the tank 2 guns (it was from a long time ago and i just can't find it) if someone can help that would be great :)

If you do find it, chances are it wont work. I can probably fix it.....
WG has broken so many things with modding tank models I am about to stop working on Tank Exporter.

Its just becoming too much of a nightmare trying to stay on top of WG efforts to ruin it.

i have tryed looking for it but i just cant find it so im going to switch gears and use a diffrent tank turret and try to mod it in my self wish me luck :) (btw thank you coffe for offering to help me fix the mod if it was not working)

soooo i made a model to replace the ELC EVEN 90 but i cant seam to get it to load in to tank exporter can you help me

Well sure... I can help.
You need to put the data where I can get at it.
I need the entire tanks FBX along with the textures zipped up.
Hopefully you have this located on the C drive or else where so paths to the users desktop doesn't trash me working on it.

ill send you the entire project file,

to be honest all i did was change the hull a little bit so the turret ring was smaller and moved it back and hid it with the turret.

added the ELC EVEN 90's turret(and 'gun' )and changed it.

and added the udes 03's guns to it.

and the textures are allready in the file

p.s( please please dont stress your self over it if you cant get it to work eather[i probobly just [edited] up horribly anyway])

OK.. First...
I see you duplicated the gun.

What you need to do to fix this..
1. Make sure the vertex colors are exactly the same for the new gun as the old gun. Vertex colors define how the model deforms. In the guns case.. the barrel recoils in to the auto loader section.
2. Make sure smoothing is done (normal averaging) 3Ds Max does this easily.
3. Select the old gun and attach the new gun to it. This merges the models in to one. Not sure how blender deals with merging models.
4. Remove the UV2 coordinates from the Gun hull and turret models. They should have no 2nd uv mapping.

thanx for the help but sadily i dont know how to do any of this, the only 3d tool platform i know is Maya so i dont have much expirience with 3DS max or blender if you could send me a few pics on whare some of this stuff is or point me to a youtube vid about it that would be great (sorry if this is a bother for you ^_^' )

 

p.s i can get the primitives to load but when i try to import the fbx as is it crashes at creating display list(for the T92 LT remodel)

I don't have this tank so I can't test it in game....

BUT....

I uploaded 2 zips.. 
One which is the FBX and textures.. (The new one has merged turret in its name) (T92LT_mod.zip)
The other which is the res_mods (T92_LT.zip) has the wot primitive files in it. Just unzip in current res_mods/game_version

You will need to fix some things on the turret if you want this to be 100%
There are missing polys and screwy texture mapping on it.
Also.. you will need to check the gun and see if it recoils correctly. I fixed the vertex colors and it should work ok.
EDIT.. I fixed the texture mapping on the 2nd gun and uploaded it again.

There are many videos and tutorials for MAYA floating around the net. Search the net for what you want to do..You'll find just about anything at Autodesk's knowledge base.

Like everything in life, you must learn the steps to reach your goal.
