People who constantly point out gramatical mistakes are jerks, study finds.

If auto correct doesn't catch it then I really don't care. However people are lazy and need to look for the red marks.

Nothing, I new that from day one.  It's like they are OCD and just can't help themselves.  Just ignore it, it will pass.  Beside, it makes them look small and really exposes them for who they are.

Makes sense.  I always give 100% credibility to an article that also links to a story about how cats can recognize their names.  :teethhappy:

“In a coherent manner” perhaps?

I'm sorry, i DO understand that sometimes spell and grammar checkers lead us astray, but it remains that being able to express yourself clearly DOES matter.

Does it impact content?  Good grammar and correct spelling won't make a bad argument work, but a lack of care in how you make your point WILL detract from the substance of your issue.  This is particularly true while your post criticizes the perceived failures of others.

100% in agreement.

Proper spelling and grammar will not make the evidence for any claims more valid, but the inverse can diminish the credibility of the person making the claim. It can lead to the impression that a garbled message means the person making the claim has not put much effort into their argument.

We all make mistakes, but it does not cost very much to put in a modicum of effort and double check your work.

Is it actually possible to be openly deceptive?

Good one.  The only episode of Steinfeld I ever watched was the "The Finale".  Bad show about nothing.

there have been a few people who try to demean my posts... because i dont use proper syntax and grammar..... blame texting.......

but those people are at a loss to refute my comments... because their so-called facts are ridiculous.... so instead resort ad hominem attacks.....

i take it as a complement.... because my argument is beyond refute.... so the only means left at their disposal is an ad hominem.....
