Do lower tier tanks earn more xp?

Example. I was just in a tier 10 match in a tier 8 Emil 1. I don't remember exact numbers but I had roughly 2k damage, 600 assisted, and 2k blocked. There was a tier 9 Emil 2 on my team that has slightly better stats in all three categories. Somehow I beat him in xp by a few dozen or so. I assumed with the better stats he should of have gotten more xp. Thanks in advance.

Yes. If you do damage to higher tiered tanks than you, you get more xp.

You get a slight increase for damage/assist dealt to higher tiers. Not sure on the percentile though.

It used to be 10% per tier higher, IIRC.

You do get a bonus modifier.  What it is, however, is not readily available.

 

This is what the Battle Mechanics -- Global Wiki has to say on the matter:

I could not find what that additive bump might be.  It is there, though.
