Why only 1 bundle per tank ('cept for Lansen) instead of 4 different bundles, including a barebones budget option, like all the previous frontline bundle offers had?

For the past two weeks I've been debating on LT-432 vs EBR (which was originally previewed) and had just about convinced myself to get both. But I'm not interested in these bundles currently on offer. Might have even been happy getting the Progetto in place of the EBR and still bought two, if a barebones was available, but when they come with extras I don't want I'll just wait and hope that reasonable options are offered at a later date.

When a longtime pattern changes, as in going from 4 bundle options down to 1, you have to wonder why. Knowing it's WarGaming, I have to suspect greed. Well this backfired on them, 'cause today I'm spending $0 for no tanks instead of ~$70 for two like I was anticipating. Please tell your marketing dep't that their machinations have failed.

I don't have too much insights into the math and whatnot that goes into coming up with these sales, I suspect it's because they're all extremely sought-after vehicles, and at the end of the day we are a business. By that logic everything we do is motivated by greed because businesses ultimately aim to be profitable. Even giving away the Well-Deserved Reward last November - yeah we gave a bunch of stuff out but there are still business reasons behind it.

I will say this: these bundle offers might be attractive to someone who wants one of these tanks in particular and doesn't want to roll the dice on Christmas boxes. While the boxes have the best dollar value, if you specifically want, say a Skorpion G it may be more prudent to buy a 70 dollar Skorp G bundle, get a month of Premium + equipment and boosters with it; as opposed to investing the same amount of money in boxes and hoping you'll get the tank that you want. I know 70 bucks is quite a bit of dosh so it's up to you to make an informed decision as to what you feel will provide you with the best value.

At the end of the day I can imagine being one of the dudes who spends 200 bucks on boxes and doesn't get the tank they wanted most is probably more frustrating. Ultimately, as a consumer it's your right to decide what you want to spend your money on, and if you feel that the bundle options don't justify the cost, well I respect your decision and commend you on your frugality.

Honestly I'm not sure, there is a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes analytics-wise - there's probably some math and some business reason behind the change. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(

I've definitely asked the Live Operations team before, will give them another reminder that some folks would like to purchase the style by itself :)

Are the tanks available in game for gold? Or just in Premium Shop?

The Frontline Bundles are unfortunately only available via the Premium Shop.

I get that. I don't begrudge WG for making money and all things considered I approve of and appreciate the F2P model they're using, which allows us to pay if and when and how we decide to. What I'm questioning is why for the each of the last 9 frontline episodes the tank specials were offered with varying amounts of extras bundled but this time the options are restricted.  Each of the tanks now on offer have even been included previously (ISU-130 ep.8; Lansen ep. 6; LT-432 ep. 4; Progetto eps. 1, 2 and 5; Scorpion ep. 8 ) and they were just as sought after then as they are now, so that rationale doesn't really make sense.

I'm generally comfortable spending ~$200 a year, which is what a typical MMO's $15/mo. subscription would run, so it's not a question of spending money. It's that for me the bundled extras aren't desired and don't justify the added cost. Boosters are nice but I'm not ever going to pay for them. When I buy premium time it's in bigger chunks than 30 days, currently have a little less than 90 days left and will reup with xmas gold so 30 more really does nothing for me atm. I don't need more crews, got better crews in tech tree tanks to use, so that would go to waste. Equipment can be bought with silver, and I have a handful of premium credit grinders already so not inclined to spend $$$ there. Sure, for some people these extras might be useful, but for me they're not. It appeared your marketing team understood this and is why they offered varying bundles in the past. The tanks are nice, very nice even, but I'm not going to pay for things I don't need or want. It's not mere frugality, it's the principle of the thing. I'll wait till a tank-only option is available. If I get lucky with a lootbox, that's great. If not, there's next frontline season or other monthly offers. And if I never see them, oh well guess it just wasn't meant to be...

This bucking the trend by limiting the bundle options for season 10 just seems a very shortsighted move by marketing and I truly hope you pass my comments on to them. Who knows, maybe it was an oversight?

Cool 1st time I've read from an administrator that the Christmas boxes are indeed coming again this year. Good news!

WOW real classy, LT-432 for $70 if you want all the unnecessary fluff that comes with it :sceptic:

You know, it was more tempting when it was only $30 for just the tank...even more so with a coupon

IIRC All of these tanks have been sold by themselves within literally the past few months......

Yeah no i don't get the holiday box reasoning, you do know we can see the discount right? the highest percent is only "16% off" that's hardly a bargain in my eyes, not close to the value of Holiday boxes.

"20 x5 XP multipliers" I don't see any value with these

"30 days Premium" there's better deals

"Equipment" who honestly pays for equipment?

"10x Boosters" i think most of us have enough of those

Lastly the various amount of gold ranging from 2000 to 8000, which as i said, is not much of a deal, so why would anyone NOT wait for the Holiday boxes that for $70 worth will get you an insane amount of gold for incredible value?

And thank you for being respectful, yes i am frugal. :)

If skorpion G was on sale with the tank only I would have bought it. $70 in one shot is a bit much though.

Not trying to detract from your point, just illustrating a potential scenario where some folks might be interested in picking these up. Currency Bundles on the Premium Shop sell pretty well every month so there are in fact people buying Credits outright. As for them having been sold recently, that may be but they are still pretty desirable/competitive. Someone might not have had the funds available or not been paying attention and missed one of those past sales.

But you're absolutely right about the fact that, for your average WoT player, Christmas boxes generally have a better value. Still, the option is there for those who want to pick these up right now, or don't want to take their chances on Giftboxes in December because they only want the one specific vehicle they have in mind.

Frontline next week + last chance to buy em before then = bundles = max $ for WG (good for WG)

You had a chance to get them cheaper before = max player frustration (not good for WG)

Bundles?

WG needs to quit trying to get a small handful of people to spend money on big $$ ticket bundles and should concentrate on trying to get more people spending small amounts of money.  For example, if WG would sell a unique new camo every month for $5, I would spend money on buying 4 or 5 camos every month instead of waiting until the end of the year to buy the Christmas boxes (which I would probably still buy anyways).  PS, makes those unique camos transparent so we can still customize by using paint underneath!

I'm pretty sure that I saw EBR should be on sale in the November preview, and I've been waiting for it for weeks. And now WG just pulls it back with no announcement given, great job! Also, what about next time make your bundle 200$ with 40000 gold in it? How brilliant am I? Hire me for your marketing department.
