AMD is destroying intel on multitasking right now.

I have an old 650Ti graphics card and windows kept crashing even with the correct driver downloaded fresh.  When I took it out and out an MSI RX 580 in (an AMD graphics card I picked up cheap), the system got rock solid stable.  Windows 10 appears not to like the 650Ti, so your 550 might also fail.  FYI.

I need that extra graphics card to run simultaneously for a triple monitor display. I cant get an confirmation they do run simultaneously.

1 monitor stretched display. 2 monitors cloned.

So I may ask; what mother board can I get for the Ryzen 5 3600 that will allow me to run the 1050ti and 550ti simultaneously for 3 monitor displays. Given there is no onboard graphics functionality ?

Honestly, I don't know the answer to that question.

It's more a driver problem of running two cards rather then a board problem.  Not sure how drivers will handle two cards of different generations.  Which monitors do you have and what cable type are you using to connect them?  If they support display port you might be able to chain them together off one card.

My Core I5-2500K Sandy Bridge is showing it age although still doing OK. Its about time for a new computer while I have the funds..

Do I wait until after xmas or get one around Black Friday ?

Are there any good off the shelf deals Online ? Best Buy is the only place in CT that has any good selection but are pricey ?

Should I try and stay with WIN-7 64 Bit Pro ?

My budget is $900.

I need to hook up a TV (cloned) with main monitor and a second monitor on its own that can go to onboard graphics or a separate card.

What are your current specs?  I know it's Sandy Bridge, but it some bits can be reused such as PSU, GPU, SSD/HDD, and case, you can upgrade quite a lot for $900.

Edit: derp, there were no other posts when I clicked on this.  Hang on...

Okay, your choice of motherboard will do both GPUs, I assume you'll reuse whatever PSU you have now.  Or, if you go Ryzen 5 3600 at $250ish and that $164 MSI mobo, and $80-100 for fast DDR4, you can swing for a 1660Ti, which will do 3 panels on one card.

Or keep having the 1050 and pick up an NVME drive, 1TB ones are $200.

I just did a rebuild to a Ryzen 7 3700x, MSI Gaming Edge X570, 1TB nvme samsung 970, RTX 2080 Ti, and 32GB of 3200mhz DDR4.  I carried over an EVGA Supernova 1600 watt overkill PSU, a 256gb NVME, and a half dozen sata SSDs.   It's a sublime rig.

However, the 3600 is solid and AM4 allows expandability.  I'm guessing both your panels and TV are 1080p so the 1050 can still get by until a later date when you can perhaps spring for a higher mid range card versus an entry level card.   I have a laptop with a 1660Ti 6gb and it's handled everything I've chucked at it at 1080 with playable 50-60fps.
