Seems like a useful function.  Will it pick and identify the Anonymized BOTS?

I think potatoes (like myself) will use this too, so we don't get post-battle hate messages as often.

Don't bother reading post battle messages.  There are some few rare nice messages that happen post battle but not enough to bother with reading all, IMO.

Conversely with this is that I have on uncommon occasions left post game battle messages to players who cussed out their team after they were destroyed to may stay alive longer next time so they won't be so bitter and the team won't have to see them be bitter.  So go figure....:sceptic:

So, artillery will simply focus the anonymous players (i.e. the players that don't show XVM stats in the player panels), because those vain enough to think they are too good to be hit by artillery will be the first to use this mechanic. You realize that this is WarGaming implementing this feature, right? They always mess things up somehow.

Got it.

a good player can recognize another good player by the way that player positions its tank on the battle-field. anonymiser cant hide that ;)

surely i cant know which players are they , but i can ''see'' which are good and which are tomatoes without xvm

I'm all for anything that hinders XVM in-game stats.

Agreed. I still wish WG just disable the ability for XVM to get stats altogether. But at least this is something.

Very interesting, we'll see how it works out. Now if WG could add an option to play 'off the record' so that stats aren't collected at all, we'd be set for life.

Never happen, can you imagine the rage from the neckbeards and nerds who think that stats are the 'be all to end all' would go for it?

Hopefully then, when they add the Anonymizer to the game, it removes the ability of the person using it to view the stats of the other players. I'm sure there will be players who will try to use it and have XVM working at the same time.

I think someone driving the T95/FV4201 Chieftain or the object 279e (or similar reward tanks) in randoms will still be a dead give away lol

People with bad stats may also want to hide their stats. So arty may be focusing on a bad player if he assumes the stats are hidden to hide a good winrate.

Potatoes get hate messages for piss poor performance, not your overall stats. So your Shiiite gameplay will still garner the wraith of people that are upset you were driving around the map just checking out the scenery.

7 years i've seen countless people make fun of others for their stats in the both the countdown before and during the match. Before crosschat was removed it would be a back and forth thing as well, people quick to proclaim that the game was already lost due to a player or two before anyone even got to play....

So yea, XVM is to blame for alot of it.

What about removing XVM and all mods?  Just a thought, because then you wouldn't have this issue with people seeing your stats in game.

It should probably be turned on by default so that most player have it.

Those who use xvm to focus/harass players will have an easy time to figure out who is who if only 2 or 3 players show up as "not enough battles to get stats" in a high tier game.

could they ever do a total name blackout? in other words, players ONLY see the tank,NEVER the players name until match is over? and actually for both sides...so only toon mates see the other tooners name...everyone else is just a tank.

until the after-battle report...then all names shown.

I'm for this to a degree. I think you should be able to see you own stats and be allowed to allow anyone you choose to see them such as a CO of a new clan.

Well as much as I appreciate this new feature. Let's be real. It's the higher ranked players (especially the yellow ranked wannabes) that allot of times are the ones being toxic in chat, and/or troll lessor ranked players. Anyway, it's a good thing all the way around. When is this option being implemented? I just updated, and I don't see it
