Hey commanders,

I've been enjoying my T-50-2 and will try out my new Super Hellcat soon, but I started wondering.

Theres been lots of chatter and discussion, some heated, about why some premiums are good, some not so.

So I'm asking, based on your own personal experiences, not some expert, or review mag, just your gut feelings,...what is the BEST PREMIUM tank out there right now, regardless of tier.

Some are great brawlers, some great and stealthy scouts, some just awesome at sniping.

This is your chance to offer up your choice.

Why?

Because I'm tempted to get another Premium, and dont want to waste my bucks. So I'm curious as to what everyone thinks. I dont expect a sure and clean winner,...but I'd like to hear the reasons why you think a certain premium tank is best.

Thanks, and have fun out there.

It would help if you explained some of what you want it for (credit earning, crew training, fun, etc), and what tanks you like/preferred playstyle.

Defender is the best overall if you factor in the price of the tank, profit per battle, and effectiveness in games. The tank is OP.

The IS3-A is the most broken premium out there.

super hellcat isn't a prem just fyi; it's a "special vehicle" meaning it only gets free transfer of crews without retraining. No credits and no xp iirc.

As for best prems?

Just my opinion:

Heavy: Renegade

med: Progetto M46

TD: Skorpion

LT: not gonna say since I suck at LTs;  I personally really like my blackdog (M41 90) but the FL10 is also solid

Depends a lot on your play style.  The Progetto is a good medium, pretty good gun, decent speed, etc.  The SU-130 is like an improved Russian Skorpion.  The Lowe is still a great tier VIII heavy.  It will bounce some shots and has a good fun that can still be effective at tier X.

It depends on what you want to do with it.  Crew training?  Credit farming?  Frontlines?  For crew training it obviously varies by nation/type.  Credit farming is based on damage less costs.  JT88, Lowe, Skorpion, SU-130, T-44-100, Ravioli all seem to be prevalent.  When I'm grinding credits, I bounce between the Lowe, T-44-100 and JT-88 but I don't have the open top boom sticks.

Frontlines?  Progetto, T26-E5, the wheelie, Defender, Skorpion, SU-130

Alright, I really just wanted to hear everyone's preference without my input clouding the issue. That said, I'd like to get a decent TD, or perhaps another Heavy.

I was looking at the Turtle today, but I haven't heard much about it to judge.

And as for a heavy, I guess I want to brush up on my brawling, but so far all I have that I like is the KV-220.

You will see some good ones during the Advent Calendar, Also if you can, Pick up the tier 6 and 7's that come with 0 skill Bia crews, esp. if you own them already, Tank like, The Cromwell B, Thunderbolt, Rudy, Tiger 121 and the ISU 122, The cost is low and you get a great crew. This is the time to pick up those good tanks, Most tech tree Tank are ok, but none are must haves. You will see a bunch of good to very good in the next month, Just follow on of the threads about the advent tanks. I think the best Tech Tree premium is the Type 64. , Edit- I forgot about the WZ 120-1G-FT - Great TD, Can do everything pretty well, Snipe Brawl, It's what the Su-122-44 (Su-122-44 is a decent premium also)would be if it was on Steroids at tier 8.

But other good non tech tree Tanks

Progetto

Lorraine

Skoda T27

T26E5

Erb 75

Somua

Defender

Quite a few more.

I would say either the SU-130PM or Skorpion G for TD's, and a defender for brawling. IS-3A is great for burst damage, but the defender has way better armor.

Lorraine 40T is pretty darn good if you like auto loaders. A lot of people say the Prog is better, but I like both equally.

The best is the KV-220-2.  So OP I do OK with it.  Got mine in a Chriatmas loot-box.  A Tier V with a KV-3 hull is outrageously fun.

The Hull is Godly at tier 5, But the Turret is Just as weak as the Hull is OP

T-34-85M;

High enough tier that you can complete many missions/events,

Low enough tier you can complete games quickly (good for marathons)

You can dominate or at least have a big influence on the outcome of games.

Good xp and credit earner,

Cheap (especially with a coupon)

True but many (most) Tier V opponents use auto-aim.  The gun is OK but good with gold ammo.

hard to beat the skorp for printing credits when you can just sit in the back and pen anything even up to t10s!

Lowe has no chance against ISU...

For brawling TD the TS-5 is better than the Turtle. Better armor and better gun.
