Lowe has no chance against ISU...

Why? The Lowe with a good crew can out spot the ISU, The Turret is auto bounce for most rounds except the tiny commanders hatch and small area around the matlet, but they are very small, It all depends on the players, and also what type of map, But The Lowe is a Very Good Tank. Since the Buffs it is on of the best.

Thus, for Tier 8s, Progetto 46 is probably the best premium.  It has the mobility, burst, view range etc.  It can do well in pretty much any tier MM on any maps.

True but many (most) Tier V opponents use auto-aim.  The gun is OK but good with gold ammo.

Very true, Also most don't know the tank well enough. They think the turret face is the last place to shoot.

The Gun is crap, 99 ap and 121 apcr,  UGGGG

As for the most fun premium, I'd have to say E-25. It's stealthy, fast, and incredibly deadly if it's played by an experience player. I ended up putting bond equipment on mine and it's a blast to play, though not the best for credit grinding.

For making credits - I'm most used to playing the Super Pershing. Pref MM so you don't have to worry about seeing tier 10, pen is decent and it's played like a heavy. It's pretty noob friendly and it was one of my first premiums, so I gotta give it some love. I would suggest the IS-6 since it's fairly decent after the recent buffs, but it pails in comparison to the Defender and IS-3A, the IS-6 just doesn't stand much of a chance.

For OP premiums - IS-3A, Defender. They can tear up the battle between the IS-3A having 3 shots at the start of any engagement (it's just an IS-3 with 2 extra shots basically) and the Defender with it's insane armor, a platoon of 3 can roll any side especially when top tier.

Honorable mention - Lowe - It's on the tech tree and if you can save up the gold for it, it's all around one of the better premiums you can get in game. Accurate gun, good gun depression mixed with a strong hull makes it an excellent up front brawler. If you using real money, it would be better to wait for the Caern AX to come around on sale as it has much better dpm.

^^This or as others have said the Skorpion G for TD's. The Cent 5/1 is also a great medium and the Carn AX is a good heavy, but don't know when they might be on sale again though.

Alright, I really just wanted to hear everyone's preference without my input clouding the issue. That said, I'd like to get a decent TD, or perhaps another Heavy.

I was looking at the Turtle today, but I haven't heard much about it to judge.

And as for a heavy, I guess I want to brush up on my brawling, but so far all I have that I like is the KV-220.

TDs:  Pretty much any normally available TD besides the AT 15A has some redeeming feature.

Heavies: Wait for the Defender if you like brawling.  Of those always available, the Lowe has the best gun and good turret armor.  The AMX 49 has good armor and a decent gun.  The IS-6 has good armor and a total POS for a gun.  T34?  just no.  Heavy Tank No. 6 is actually pretty good all around at T6, but it plays absolutely nothing like the rest of the Japanese heavies.

At what?  missing targets over 300 feet away?  Even APCR on the ISU 152 will bounce off most of the Lowe's turret.  As inaccurate as it is, hitting the weakspots is unlikely.  NOT that I intend to go park in front of an ISU 152...

I think he meant Su -130p, Even then, it would depend on the play skill and map type. The Lowe is very good, Top ten premium in the game.

T-54-85M;

High enough tier that you can complete many missions/events,

Low enough tier you can complete games quickly (good for marathons)

You can dominate or at least have a big influence on the outcome of games.

Good xp and credit earner,

Cheap (especially with a coupon)

I would literally poop myself if there was a t-54 with an 85 at tier 6.

Top tier campaign tanks and reward tanks... they're 'best' because they're OP as F*

And a few tier 8 premiums (defender, et al).

Depends a lot on your play style.  The Progetto is a good medium, pretty good gun, decent speed, etc.  The SU-130 is like an improved Russian Skorpion.  The Lowe is still a great tier VIII heavy.  It will bounce some shots and has a good fun that can still be effective at tier X.

The Lowe can only be effective at t10 if you play it as a sniper. Else literally all t10 tanks no matter the class can pen you frontally regardless of hulldown or armor angling and they do it with normal shells

Progetto is best, good speed, good gun stats, autoreloader, giving it a hand above autoloaders with the single shell at time and another hand over single shot with burst, great view range, good gun depression, all at the loss of some armor

The 1357 is a fun tank and made most of the XP for me to train crews and get the tanks I have but it takes a little to get the hang of or it did for me anyway because I’m mostly a non auto loading medium guy.

The SU-130PM is slower than the Skorpion G, accuracy is a bit worse. Has better camo rating and a lower profile.

For game play they are about even, both having pluses and minuses. Though I will say the SU-130PM is a camo bush compared to the Skorpion G which gets spotted more often.

In the SU I have had enemy scouts almost right next to me and not spot me. Guessing they didn't have their spotting skills matched, but still was fun.

Hey commanders,

I've been enjoying my T-50-2 and will try out my new Super Hellcat soon, but I started wondering.

Theres been lots of chatter and discussion, some heated, about why some premiums are good, some not so.

So I'm asking, based on your own personal experiences, not some expert, or review mag, just your gut feelings,...what is the BEST PREMIUM tank out there right now, regardless of tier.

Some are great brawlers, some great and stealthy scouts, some just awesome at sniping.

This is your chance to offer up your choice.

Why?

Because I'm tempted to get another Premium, and dont want to waste my bucks. So I'm curious as to what everyone thinks. I dont expect a sure and clean winner,...but I'd like to hear the reasons why you think a certain premium tank is best.

Thanks, and have fun out there.

Some sort of Russian Heavy, whichever is the next one to come out probably.

True, but the others aren't effective against 10s at all.  The Lowe at least has something it can do against 10s.  As for a hull down Lowe being penned easily, even a Jageroo's HEAT round will bounce half the time.  The weak spots can be penned by anything, but they are so small and spread around that any given shot is likely to hit the thicker part of the armor.
