Here is a great example of how headlines don't match reality.  If you only read the headline or don't read the entire article you have been misled.

It’s Sizzling: Australia Experiences Hottest Day On Record

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology said the average temperature across the country of 40.9 degrees Celsius (105 Fahrenheit) Tuesday beat the record of 40.3 Celsius (104 Fahrenheit) from Jan. 7, 2013.

On Wednesday temperatures soared to 47.7 Celsius (118 Fahrenheit) in Birdsville, Queensland, 46.9 Celsius (116 Fahrenheit) in Mandora, Western Australia and similar levels in southern and central Australia.

The highest temperature reliably recorded in any location in Australia was 50.7 Celsius (123 Fahrenheit) in January 1960.

The country as a whole experienced the hottest day on record. You're also missing the point that climate change is starting to cause the world to boil alive.

But keep on sipping that Fox News Kool-Aid, boomer. At this rate you'll still be alive to boil with us "millennials" who are apparently ruining the planet :P

I can hardly walk down the street without tripping over the dead bodies and the boiling rivers....   Keep on the panic train, another load of scare tactics coming soon. Always fun to read "hey boomer" which means "I am 16 and know it all even though I have never worked or paid a bill in my short life"

Right, because "RealClimateScience.com", run by whatever shmuck made this video, is infinitely more knowledgeable than meteorologists who have spent their entire lives studying the field and who have access to sophisticated software and a large body of data. Sometimes I wonder how, in a Western nation with public education, someone could become this stupid.

An Overview of Scientific Debate of Global Warming and Climate Change
a. The Medieval warm period from 950 AD to 1350 AD followed by
b. The cool period called little ice age from 1400 to 1900 AD.
According  to  Dr.  Steffensen  of  Neil  Bohr  Institute  of  Geophysist,  university of  Copenhagen  who  conducted  3km  deep  ice  core  study at Greenland concluded that the Little Ice Age marked the lowest temperature in the last 8000 years of earth’s history while the Medieval Warm period was about 1.5 degree Celsius warmer than the present day. It is clear that increased in temperature was natural without burning of fossil fuels like coal. Like in the past the natural process of global warming is still valid in the present period.

What do you find in that video that is in error?

While I agree there is plenty of "fake news" out there from every side of the "aisle" - cant we all agree that pollution is terrible? we are literally poisoning our oceans, air and the food we eat? It seems to me that "climate change" (regardless of your belief or non belief)  would be certainly partially fixed by addressing pollution right? Doesn't taking care of the very thing that birthed and feeds you sound like a good idea? certainly we can all agree on this - I hope

I do agree on that and we have made great progress on containing pollution compared to 50 years ago.

September 10, 2019 - Head of Key Meteorological Organization Slams Climate Extremists, in Unprecedented Move
The head of the world’s foremost weather science organization issued a surprise rebuke to climate alarmists in remarks published on Sept. 6, marking what may be, according to some experts, one of the most significant developments in the climate debate in decades.

Let me rephrase my statement.

The West has made great progress on containing pollution compared to 50 years ago.

CO2 is not pollution. CO2 is life.

Emphasis (bold and underline) added by me.

There is a difference between "average temperature across the temperature" and a temperature recorded "in any (single) location".

Let's do this by analogy.  Your 401k yesterday saw the average of all your investments increasing by 5%.  A year ago, one investment went up by 10% in a day.  On which day did you make the most money?

(The answer is that you don't have enough information)
