So? You being there means what, exactly?

And you do realize that if Israel would get it's own Tech Tree, it would be Palestinian.

That is why the Roman empire called it Palestinia...  wait, they didn't.

The nomads occupying Judea prior to UN Resolution 181 didn't have any tanks.  That would be one empty tech tree.

I detect a strong anti Semitic lean to your replys to this thread.

Someone’s history might be a little poor. Because there were far more than just nomads occupying the area covered by UN Resolution 181, prior to it.

I'd be totally for it.  I started a thread with nearly the same title a couple years ago.  Many players would like to see it.  Even if a lot of the tree were copies, that certainly has never stopped Wargaming in the past.  And a tier 10 prototype Merkava would be awesome.  I'm a huge fan of anything Israeli, and would love to play in Israeli tanks with Israeli crew.  It couldn't happen soon enough to make me happy.

I disagree as WG often plays around with variants creating "new" tanks with completely different feels using the game's mechanics.  A boost or nerf in any of the major categories (penn, alpha, speed, pwr-wght ratio, dispersion, reload, etc) create new tanks even if they are rehashes.  Like I said in the OP, many of these tanks were modified IRL.

Yes, you're correct about that - the Israelis employed a broad hodge-podge of everyone's stuff, and modified them to suit their purposes.

That hodge-podge didn't really go away until there were enough Merks to equip the entire armored force.

IIRC, even their reserve stocks are Merks now.

Of course you would. Anything criticizing Israel is anti-Semitic. Israel can do nothing wrong, even though the Ottomans and the UN called the region Palestine. But of course they're all big liars.

And spoiler alert, the Palestinians would've more than likely fielded British and French arms during Britain's colonization.

What? Most of the tanks in this game were developed for WW2 or based on technology/situations from WW2? I know it has tanks from outside that conflict but, it really is kind of a WW2 game.

I tried send you a PM but it wouldn't let me.

We can't add the Israeli Tech Tree because then Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran would have to get their own trees as well. If just criticizing Israel makes you anti-Semitic, I'd hate to see what criticizing any of them would be like...

Palestine ...

Get educated.

The bottom-Notes are an interesting read, too

The best solution may be simply to pester WG to develop additional skins for each of the nations concerned ...

Though I would like to see the Egyptian T-34/100 mash-up in the game

My personal opinion is there are enough clones or module rebranded rehashes already.  Like has already been suggested adding them to a mixed tree would be better imo.  Multi-national prems would also help with mixed trees.

And no solo tree isn't downplaying Israel's proven armored history, etc.. imo.

But hey we have a Chinese tree.  Of course that's more of a marketing decision than anything - at least imo.

I agree, but unfortunately that doesn't increase WG profits. Designing maps and testing them are expenses only. Albeit it's good for players retention...

I'm all for new maps (actually, I would like them to bring back some of the old ones namely Sacred Valley), but I don't understand why new tanks is not what everyone wants?  Less arty-- certainly.  1 per map max would be my personal preference.

Hungary has better chances at getting their own tech tree, frankly (and is likely even more deserving).

Especially since these are either literally the exact same crap we already have, or modifications thereof, big no.

Right ...

German cast-offs and single-transfers ... Pz IV, Tiger, Jpz IV ...

Soviet cast-offs and clones ... T-34/85s, T-54s ...

Italian cast-offs, single-transfers and clones ... Semoventes ...

Sounds familiar

The FRG and DDR weren't around until after WWII, and their post-war tanks, tiers 8 thru 10, are in the game ...

So YES ...

History much ?

You just failed on your own logic ... :sceptic:

Still NO. They weren't officially a nation until 1948, so it wouldn't be an actual Israeli line.

Not to mention almost all of their tanks are simply tanks from other nations. It's alright to pepper the odd one in, like capture or lend lease. You would essentially just be playing French and American tanks all over. The Merkava didn't show up till the 80s, so it wouldn't be added. So zero point in putting it in, just go play French  and American.

Like I said in Post #50, the simplest solution might be simply to bug WG about making skins for them.

Read them all, plz

I’ve been playing this game for many years now (although admittedly, I did take a two-year sabbatical and just recently returned to WoT).  Overall, I am impressed with most of the changes that WG has made, however I would be remiss if I did not also mention that I am a little disappointed with some of the content directions—most notably the lack of new lines since my return.

For me personally, the thrill of this game lies in the constant grind spurred on by the insatiable desire to own good tanks—wherever they may fall in the tech tree.  The addition of new nations, with their own corresponding tech trees is the quintessential element of the game that spurs players onwards, encouraging them to branch out and grind new crews for new lines.  In that light, there is one nation that has been mysteriously left out of the WoT universe: the nation of Israel.

I say “mysteriously” because of the long, proud armored history of one of the world’s most recently recognized countries—which is far more storied than many of WG’s recent additions in terms of armored conflict.  Stretching back even before its official inception as a recognized nation, Israel was almost constantly embroiled in international conflicts, often using whatever armored vehicles they could get their hands on.  This leads me to the next point.

WG recently launched the Rudy as the first “international tank” in the game, capable of being crewed by multiple nations due to the wartime supply crossover.  No country on earth is more ripe for these new international tanks than that of Israel who incorporated tanks from the United States, the British, the French, and even captured Soviet tanks, often incorporating interesting international modifications into their designs to meet the specific terrain of the Middle Eastern region.  Below is a brief overview of tanks used by Israeli forces broken down by era.

Pre-WWII (1936-1939)

Hotchkiss H35

Hotchkiss H39

WWII (1940-1945)

M22 Locust

M5 Stuart

M4 Sherman

IS3/JS3

Post War/Cold War (1946-1966)

IS-10/JS-10

M4A4

M-50 Super Sherman

M-51 Super Sherman

M48 Patton

AMX-13F

T-54

Centurion (standard)

Israeli Design Era (1968+)

Magach (1 through 7)

Sho’t Meteor

Sho’t Kal Alef

Merkava Mk1

Sabra

Many of these tanks featured variants where engines, guns, and transmissions were commonly amassed from various nations not native to the original native model.  For instance, the M50 Super Shermans were essentially Fireflies which were then further upgraded with 460hp Cummins engines for increased mobility.  The M51’s were fitted with French 105mm Modele F1 main armaments.  The Magach series tanks were M48/M60 chassis with British 105 L7s and various combinations of engines and transmissions in addition to lower-profile modifications to the turret and expanded engine compartments.  Sho’t tanks came in two variants of the Centurion chassis, one with the Rolls-Royce Meteor engine and one with the Continental AVDS-1790-2A diesel and Allison CD850-6 transmission along with upgraded gun stabilizers and firing control systems, as well as reactive armor.

As alluded to earlier, the nation of Israel has a long history of armored conflict.  The Six Day War (1967), and the Yom Kippur War (1973) are two prominent examples featuring extensive armored conflict.  This leads me to my last point.  The addition of the Israeli tech tree would allow for the creation of a new map featuring one of the greatest armored feats in history—the defense of the Golan Heights during the Yom Kippur War.  This game desperately needs new maps and this presents a perfect opportunity to commemorate one of the greatest tank battles in history.

Israel needs to be in this game, period.  Please make this happen.

Do you agree?

its funny 10 million people need Israeli Tech Tree!??

and 2000 million Muslim and 22 Arabic countries without server!

or can speck by Arabic language or any flag for any Arabic  country like Egypt etc

How much this fool and how much this game is not related to history or reality
And wot will die soon by this way
It increases racism and discrimination

don't speak about Israel history bcz everyone knows well

and u must remember 6 October 1973  :teethhappy:

I remember entire units of Syrian T62s left idling in the Golan while their crews slinked back to Damascus ... :sceptic:
