I recently 3 marked the Tier 5 and tier 6 Churchill 1 and 7.  Both of these tanks are extremely boring to play, they have almost nothing going for them that is good.

My suggestion (probably not a new one) is to add the flame thrower gimmick to these two and possibly the Black Prince.  They need something to ward off the Derp guns.  Make that KV-2 get some punishment for pulling out around the corner and blapping you for 400+ damage without aiming.  The flame thrower doesn't even need to do 400+ damage just more than the 250 of the gun and since RNG is such a thing in this game give me a roll to set the tank on fire, say 15-20% chance.

It would give players a reason to play these tanks as opposed to dreading or free xping past them.  You could even make a tier 7 premium version ($$).  I would drop it at tier 7 though as the line from 8-10 is good.

 

An interesting note on the changing of the meta, I played 100-150 matches in these tanks around 2014 when I was a red/orange player and had a 58% and 59% w/r.  Then played 100 and 75 on the tier 5 and tier 6 respectively to get the third mark as a blue/purple player and finished with a 55% w/r.

Not a huge dataset but I think the w/r drop is because you rarely I mean rarely see -2 MM and then it is a 50/50 chance on whether you will be in a 3-15 situation.  Add in to that 3 arty is the norm since those tiers seem to be very popular with arty and you are put in situations where this tank does not excel.

I couldnt even imagine playing those tanks anymore than the least amount possible. Congrats on the outcome of that miserable grind.

So your solution to a trash mechanic like derp guns is to add a different mechanic that is equally trash?

Yea kinda dumb like another suggestion on here to make the machine guns work to shoot the ebrs tires. They come out with something new thats difficult and everyone wants to change it instead of practice makes perfect. Dont even hear that phrase anymore because if people cant be like the best the first time they dont even want to try. Whats next the double barrels take away too much damage with 2 guns, we need a shield to protect ourselves because if i dobt want to be hit by a double barrel gun i shouldnt have to.

I wouldn't put it that way but yes.  Just a reality check arty is not going away, way to many play it and derp is not going away for the same reason.  A lot of players like easy, look at all the camping TD's that just sit in a bush the whole game.  It's easy gameplay no thinking required.

Kinda dumb like wheeled vehicles that defy physics, do somersaults and auto-aim shots across the map with shell absorbing wheels or say tanks with two barrels or even spg's that have a magic eye in the sky?  I'd say realism was never a core part of the game and I'm not suggesting freaking lasers.

They dont defy physics, i have never seen one floating on water or climbing mountains. They rarely flip over without exploding, for christ sake i exploded driving straight into a tree, they are weak as heck. When they tank drives as fast as it does and when your a skilled driver the autoaim is a must for being able to fight and drive halfway decent, I must admit the wheels absorb alot of shots without damage which is nice when playing sucks when fighting against. But it must clearly be ok for a even 90 to be sitting 50meters from another scout and never gets spotted. Every tank has a counter tank it seems.

It would be a good idea for a 3D skin, at least if anyone actually played Churchills willingly.

Your opinion is a small minority, they defy physics the way they turn suddenly at full speed, the way they bounce off rocks, the way they flip and end up right sided.  Come on dude get real.  They need autoaim+ to hit targets going fast just like I should get autoaim+ to hit them going fast.  Anyways this is a ridiculous argument it is like arguing with a flat earther.  Even90 example is spotting something clearly different and an even90 has lot of drawbacks.  The only counter to an ebr at high tiers is another ebr and when yours dies it's game over.

If you want more derp give it the AVRE spigot mortar or even the 300mm Ardeer Aggie version https://tanks-encycl...churchill-avre/ . Flamethrower doesn't make sense in wot plus how would the Crocodile's trailer work.

Flame thrower tanks have been suggested many times already. Also this is the wrong suggestions place.
