I recently converted 9500 gold, have like 360k free xp what tanks would you suggest I go for from the lower tiers straight upto tier 8 or 9 in the current meta?

P.S I am not a low tier fan, would rather play tier 8 or upwards

I would NOT use the free exp to research tanks.  Instead, save it for upgrading tanks.  Generally speaking, the worst part of the game is playing stock tanks, which is why I try avoiding it.

As for what are the best lines, it depends on your style of play.  I personally chose specific tanks to aim for.  For example, the T29 American heavy tank is awesome, the rest of the line, not so much.  So I stopped there.

For the Swedes and Italians everything prior to tier 8 is pretty much filler.  The tech that makes them unique doesn't start till then.

You should use that free XP on modules. With all the boosts they offer you can play through mid-tier tanks in 30-40 battles.

Play tanks, free XP modules.

I disagree with this. ^

I found the Swedish line to be very fun. T5, T6 awsome Gun depression and good guns. The T5 has 150 alpha - Great for T5 Medium. The T6 also good gun depression and a much more accurate version of the gun with improved pen.

The T7 Leo takes some getting used to but it works and is one of the few mediums that has 2 guns that both work well. Some days go with 150 alpha 4 sec reload, others go with 300 alpha 8 sec reload.

Emil 1 is good, new changes make it fun to play and many CC's think it a decent tank.

Then new udes line mediums are interesting, but I have only played the T8.

The low tier TD's are under whelming but I did not hate them.

The American Pershing/Pattons are pretty good. The m4a1, E2 and E8 and T20 are all good/fun tanks to play.

Good points, I was thinking in terms of if you just want to get right to the auto reloaders or the siege mode tanks.

All depends on play style. Most of the best tanks are used on clan wars. My top tanks to get would be EBR,super conq,140,430u,batchat,strv,277,5a, lt100, maus, E3,E4. Can't go wrong with those.

For a second I thought you were talking about the TD line, and internally vomited as I remembered suffering in the T5 TD

Good riddance to that unfortunate mistake!

Don't drive stock...but don't use that XP on tanks excepting low tiers.

The blueprints are glorious for this.  Use the FreeXP on the modules in the main path through and blueprints on the tanks.  Since I had already gone up the Brit MT line sharing guns with the heavies I skipped tier 5,6,7 with about 7k free for a few guns and turrets.

I presently could get any of the tier 10 medium tanks I don't already have for 60-80k XP on guns or turrets on the tier 9s without playing any of them.
