I plan to buy a T8 tech tree prem using the gold from the Christmas boxes. What's the best T8 tech tree prem to get and why (Please justify why)? I already have the STA-2 and WZ-111 from Frontline.

Patriot also known as T26E5. Its mobile, carries a large amount of ammo, has a fantastic gun with a nice rate of fire, apcr as standard with good pen. It also has great hull down armor with gun depression that allows you to work ridgelines. Lowe is probably second as mentioned but for me its just too slow these days, Id rather play the IS6 .IMO IS6 is still very relevant because it has nice armor , low profile and high alpha and decently mobile.

I use premium tanks for credits and training, but also want to enjoy them , well, because you play them a lot. You have to chose the tank by your reason for wanting it, so i suggest you watch a lot of videos on them before you buy.

I think these all work fine and over the years I've gotten to play them all, well at least for a few battles:

Lowe- great gun and armor works well, just a bit slow

T26e5- very flexible and fun to play

T-54 Mod 1- same as T26e5

Fv4202- i like this tank and it's fun to play - it's the weakest of the Centurion variants in game though at tier 8 i believe

AMX M449- I really haven't done well in this in WR , brought it during the 3/5/7 MM was part of the problem i feel , but i can have fun playing it

Super Persh - works , but i haven't play much in it, and so far haven't enjoyed it, mainly i want more mobility in a Med.

If i was buying any of these right now , i think i would go for the more mobile ones , with the state of the game right now.

Also for frontline good base pen is key as you really dont load any gold because its all about making silver and grinding

WZ-120-1G FT followed by T26E5. Lowe and Strv S1 are also considerations, but the former is a bit weak and the latter is situational.

Seems people are sleeping on the WZ FT, despite it being the embodiment of the current armor/mobility/DPM meta. Server-wide stats back this up, with it being statistically the strongest tech tree premium. It's also notably better in FL than its main competitor in this list, the T26E5, thanks to its DPM and mobility advantage.

If you ask me, the only real advantage the T26E5 has over the WZ is a turret, which is kind of a given.

What's the difference between the WZ 120FT and its regular tier 8 counterpart? (almost done researching the T7 on that line)

Prem is pretty much uptiered SU-122-44, good gun, good mobility, good armor.

Tech tree is more or less variation of SU-152, guns are derpy, armor too flat/thin to be reliable, kinda sluggish and big.

I had fun with both, but tech tree ones are not a keepers.

Easily the Lowe without a doubt. Nothing really else like it for the tier except for maybe the vk.168.01 (even then, not really) the lowe is pretty unique. The T26E5 on the other hand can be easily replaced by the Caern AX since the AX has unholy amounts of dpm with the combination of a decent turret while the T26 seems unreliable.

Even then, tech tree premiums are pretty bad in comparison to the Defender, IS-3A, Skorp G, ect ect so you're still probably going to have a tough time against those.

Yeah those are great prems. But those aren't TECH TREE premiums. (I thought emphasizing "tech tree premiums" twice was enough...)

Depends on what you currently have. Most of the British med crews will fit the FV4202 perfectly, so it's a great crew trainer. However it lacks a bit in firepower until your crew gets really good. It's penetration is pretty good with standard ammo, 226, and it's much more reliable than the Panther 88. It has a surprisingly bouncy turret, you can really piss some Skorp or SU-1.3PP players off going hull down.

The IS-6 is outclassed by nearly every other tier VIII premium heavy. it's only real advantage is preferential mm. Its penetration is poor, it's not too agile, and it doesn't have relevant armour.
