I was in the 62nd eng. Bn Fort Hood.  Proud to be a leg and not stupid enough to jump from a plane that isnt gonna crash.  I still laugh at the 82nd Airborne for there FAKE combat jump into iraq over bagdad international airport the 3rd infantry was already there and had secured the drop zone lolz.  My platoon sergeant was former airborne when we heard about it he shook his head.  Basically my job was to dig in tanks, make tank ditches, hides, 1, 2, and 3 tier defilade.  Basically make it hell for tanks to move about the battle field we also made dragons teeth with concrete mobiles and ran a lot of concertina wire (a 10 row if done right can stop a tank dead cold).  At the time all our equipment was unarmored we didn't get armor bulldozers til after i had got out my friends told me about it.  i didnt see one til my time in iraq as a civilian if i could do it all over again i would

So, your options are:

1) “Mech background”. Tanks, Amoured Cav, Mech Infantry, you know something about tracked vehicles and their combat use.

Also, there's a subsidiary question on your gaming background. To be honest, there’s also a slightly serious point to the poll. As far as I know, we haven’t actually taken a customer base survey yet.

From there I went into 15P

Deployed as an 11B0P with the only Batalion sized element of Airborne Infantry soldiers In the National Guard (1(ABN)-143 IR)

Now they chose to put me in Charge of the S6 so I will be going to 25U school soon

Just a tank nut here.

My Dad served in the USCG though, Petty Officer First Class (E6?) on the USCGC Iris and USCGC Sedge as well as a Polar Class though he didn't state which one when I asked him.  Iris and Sedge were both Bouy tending (mainly) if I recall correctly.  I know they escorted a Nuclear Sub one time into port (I think it was in the Seattle area) and the fastest they could go was as slow as the Sub could go at the time haha.  Debating signing up myself once I'm out of college though.

Edit: Correction:  The Iris and Sedge were in support of the Polar Breakers, I misheard.
