I wanted the T23E3 and I just finished the part for it today and it is now in the queue so I can get it next week or whenever they will deliver it.

The other tanks would have required way too many resources and the battle payouts simply were not enough unless you win almost every battle and get tons of x5.  Personally, these craftables should be in to keep people interested who would otherwise not be getting the "good" tier X tanks.  They need to tone down the recipe costs for these components.

I was pretty pessimistic about the whole idea from the start and figured most people wouldnt be able to get it done, so not surprised it turned out to be a ridiculous grind,

posted the following in the first feedback thread WG made:

http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/618330-dawn-of-industry-clan-wars-global-map-event/page__p__12370530#entry12370530

"It would be easier to gauge our excitement over the new "crafting" component and experimental modules if the article actually provided sufficient details for us to understand how they are going to work. Unfortunately, without info, players are left to guess what these things are, and based on previous experience with pretty much every new gimmick WG has added to the game lately, the players are going guess that these new features will be disappointing. Thus I voted "none of them" to the 2nd question.

For example, my initial impression, based on the limited info provided, is that the crafting thing is going to be an grind fest of sorts that will be unobtainable for many participants. The interactive thing shows one needs 11 spare parts, 6 non ferrous metal, and 18 ferrous metal resources to craft one of eleven pieces needed to get the gun component.  There is no info in the article to suggest how many "resources" one might get per battle but judging from the numbers above it had better be more than a handful or many people are not going to be able to craft a tank. My fear is WG will be using this gimmick to monetize CWs (ie, buy needed "resources" in loot boxes for cash). IMO, That is not something that will work to revitalize the lost interest in CWs."

Looks like I can make the T23E3...

Not enough fame points that would have given more material for any others.

I've already spent the resources but I don't think I can make it on time. I probably need an extra 2 days for the KV-4. At least give us the option to get the resources back if we can't afford the one we invested in. That way we can reinvest in a tank that we can afford.

They restrict you to only 1 (which is pretty dumb but of course they would, its WG) so I went with the T23. On top of that I've made ~10 parts towards the KV-4 but that means nothing since those parts won't craft until the T23 processes (they set it to something like 8 days once you got all the parts which means its impossible to even start towards another tank even if you wanted to).

Anyhow, I heard some people complaining about the Chieftain having too many parts to get, but I'd say its quite reasonable considering you are guaranteed parts per game. Essentially you could just spam battles, lose them all, and craft the parts you need to progress the tank (it would be slow, but its possible) pretty much 80 games and you should have a tank by then. They certainly arent that much "easier" to get than an actual tier 10 tank and I dont know if that was there intention since the tier 8 rewards is basically a "spam battle" requirement while the clan wars tank is more of a "sometimes win" requirement.

Regardless, all of the tier 8s such and they are in desperate needs of buffs. The IS-5 used to be somewhat comparable to the IS-3 and was preferred for its HEAT pen (though it lacked accuracy), it was a solid tank when it first came out for sure. Now when its compared to the defender, IS-3a, Caern AX, and other heavies of the tier--its pretty much useless. I cant really recall the last time I took the IS-5 out since its just so terrible.

Just another sign that WG has no clue how to balance tanks.

2 days and 10 hours on the t23e3 left
all the parts are set up to be made for the kv4 kres

we will see if we are able to continue making the tanks after battles end

didnt really think it was all too bad of a system all things considered

I liked it overall... but not going to like it much if there's no way to save or otherwise use your parts when you need like 1 more to complete a tank. Maybe allow them to be used for equipment or something.

So I’ve played damn near 80 games this cw (won only around 50%)
But I’m still going to be short about 1000 worth of scrap.
How is anyone with a life who isn’t in a top tier clan supposed to get a tier 8?

I very much liked it great job !!!

I think it is great how top clans can hold provinces on basic map and farm fame.

I very much am glad you allow the winners of a reward tank to also purchase a 2nd tank at auction this is a big bonus for top clans.

overall success in keeping with wargaming tradition !!

Thank You !!

if they got a tank in the top 3150 positions then that's the only one they get.  they do not get to partake in the auction for the other 600 tanks.   the second tank is if they crafted one just like every one else who played in clan wars

The tier 8 tanks seem oddly balanced (parts/time to build).  I don't really get what they were trying to achieve with them.  I'd kind of figure it would be the participation prize for those guys who play 50+ battles but can't qualify for the tier 10 reward tanks (even if the top 3150 can also get the tier 8 of course).

The biggest issue in affording this, I feel were the "lack of landings" in the 1st, 2nd, and last TZs, idk how many less battles we got due to limited number. And not to mention out ofmthe entire campaign, only like 3 nights 00 battles were open, because everything was +15, I'm sure if we had more times to fight available, more tier 8s could of been bought
