Howdy Boom Jockeys!

This is a very long term Marathon like event for all World of Tanks players that would like to stick to random battles.

Starting 12Mar and running until 9Jun.

Battle pass is for players that play World of Tanks in random battles from tier 6 - 10. Every tier offers points for being in the top ten both in victory and loss.

For more information about how the battle pass works and what the sweet sweet loot is. Click HERE.

But why would they do this, right in the middle of another event?  That just doesn't make any sense.

Hey Krazy...

Looks like an interesting event. However, I have some unresolved questions for you...

1) Are the Base Reward and Improved Rewards additive? In other words, if you pay for Improved Rewards, do you also get the Base Reward?

I ask because if you pay the 6500 gold for the 'Improved Reward', you get the Bounty Rammer at stage 20. However, the Bounty GLD is given as a Base Reward at stage 30. If the rewards aren't additive, how does one get both?

2) How much does it cost to make Bounty equipment 'Improved' equipment? And apart from that 'improvement ability, is there any difference between regular equipment and Bounty equipment?

3) Can one buy stages without first having bought the Improved Pass?

The format seems nice but I am not interested in the main rewards so I will just get the stuff from playing casually, and hoping that on season 2 they put something interesting, maybe a Bundeswehr 3D style for the Leopard 1 or something, that would be awesome. (Still, good job on this upcoming long event).

So, you need to have a Super Conqueror or an Object 277?!

No.

You get a small benefit from those tanks, but you can do it with other tanks.

1. You get both.
2. The equipment from battle pass once upgraded is the same as the bond equipment.
3. You can buy levels without having the premium pass.

My thought is, maybe instead using your energies to create new events on top of other events, concentrate on providing new and different maps to play on.  jmho...

So if you don't pay you get a Gun Laying Drive, which is something you rarely use. BUT IF YOU PAAAAY, you get a Rammer :coin::facepalm:

Hmmm... if points per battle are same for every tier, then if you want to complete event in least amount of battles tier 6 is best pick.

to allow for RNG, sealclubbing platoons, fail teams, lag, soviet bias etc. I rolled dice and got 4 as average points per battle.

Math clearly favors tier 6, and lower tier battles tend to be shorter, but in the end it will work only if you have 19 strong tier 6's to field. I happen to have exactly 19 tier 6 prems, but some of them are certainly not strong contenders...

It will be interesting if Rudy's dual nationality will make it count as two.

If I count points for "Elite Progression" correctly it is 10360, including 2250 from basic progression, which results in crazy amount of battles required for people with life... and certainly favors players with large garages :]

I get that WG needs to make money as a company that’s ok, but I don’t think that they need to make the elite battle pass so expensive. I’m a hybrid f2p but I can’t even start to think about paying 26 for the elite pass. In fortnite I paid for the elite pass but that was 10 that means that I could almost buy 2 fortnite passes with one WG pass!! and even with the free fortnite pass u could get v bucks through grinding. U can’t get any gold through even the elite battle pass. I’m not trying to tell WG how to run their company but fortnite seems to have done pretty darn well with their business model of the battle pass. Just sayin.

The way I read the website is this:

If you buy the improved package for 6500 gold you get every single reward with the exception of ONE of the two elite commanders - which is fine because I have an ocean of un-recruited elite commanders.  They’re fine most of the time but sometimes I hear them screaming from the other room to give them a tank and that gets old.

The bounty equipment appeared to have an upgrade cost of 3 million credits in the video - which gives you great value when you consider that there is no bond cost associated with any of the acquisition or transfer of the enhanced equipment.  Would I rather have had a bounty ventilation system?  Sure, but I have like 550+ tanks in my garage - I’m pretty sure I can put the GLD to good use.

The question of the Improved Pass and additional purchase of stage progression contains a last sentence which indicates you have to have the Improved Pass to purchase the extra progress through stages.  So 6500 gold is just for everything I said above.  If you want to accelerate completion of the MAIN STAGE (first 45 stages) you can purchase stages for ADDITIONAL gold.  5000 more gold will buy you 20 stages but it’s unclear whether you could spend another 5000 to get 20 MORE stages.  If you can you’d have spent 16,500 gold to buy 40 stages of progression in the main phase.  Their wording suggests that stages get cheaper the more you buy though - so it could be less than 16,500 - but still hefty.

The benefit of accelerating progress is early access to the rewards - for instance all those Russian blueprints look pretty tasty to someone like me who had all the tech tree tanks until Wargaming added the double barreled heavies.  Can you say instant unlocks Comrade?  There will be plenty of people salivating at the thought of Enhanced Equipment that doesn’t cost bonds - I haven’t spent my bonds yet - and won’t - but this gets me the equipment without losing a single bond.  People are still sitting on mountains of holiday gold too, given that the black market was pretty underwhelming this year.  Finally it sets people up to complete the Elite stages of the event, gathering all those yummy bonds, with far less grinding and having used, potentially, none of their tank limit headroom.  The obvious con is cost but, for someone like me sitting on a ton of gold and most of the premium tanks that I want, it’s a valid use.

If you’re FTP just ignore this post entirely.

The OBJ 277 style looks great, i like the green paint, but the Super Conq 3d style is pretty boring

I totally agree but there are two things to consider.  With the Improved Pass you get both styles, and I think the Super Conqueror team is likely going to win.  I see far more people playing that tank then the Obj. 277 - at least in NA.  And as I said in the post above, who cares which Elite commander you get?  If you don’t already have a metric ton of them then something is wrong.  I wish Wargaming would start throwing in some elite gunners and loaders and such.

I played this on the Common Test Server.

I'll be definitely be doing this. You don't have to pay anything to participate. It just takes longer/more games.

IMHO. -- A majority of posters/whiners would complain if you hung them with a new rope.

This is BS Wargaming! Nothing more than pay to win when you can spend 6500 gold and get better modules! The cosmetic stuff is fine but the modules should NOT be a part of it! Not to mention that this is about twice as expensive as battle passes in other games.

IF this doesn't make you angry as a player then you have no clue what is really going on here!!!!!!!

Seems like the very definition of "pay to win" give players who don't want to go through the 6,500 gold (roughly $30) paywall a Gun Laying Drive which is essentially useless to be honest. BUT give the players who PAY the better equipment which in this case is the Rammer (for those who don't know what this does it increases fire rate, in this case up to 12.5%) thus giving players that PAY an ADVANTAGE. This is asinine, did you people learn nothing from the backlash from Rubicon?
