Tankers,

If you've been regularly tuning in to our World of Tanks NA Community Livestream, "Working as Intended" you might've been around for our testing of the Azarus stream plugin.

Well, we're happy to announce that we're launching our partnership with Azarus for our streams moving forward! In a nutshell: Watch our stream, answer trivia questions (about World of Tanks in general, as well as things that are happening during the stream.

There are some pretty awesome rewards up for grabs, including Consumables and Equipment for your vehicles!

For all the details, including a list of rewards, head over to the article on our news portal or click on the banner below

To watch the stream, head over to www.twitch.tv/worldoftanksna

Is Azarus legit?  It's not going to be a bitcoin mine hidden as a streaming service or anything like that?

I have a reasonable suspicion that Azarus was properly vetted by our IT folks, and I haven't heard anything sketchy from anyone in our stream chat that participated in our trial run for Azarus!

So, to my knowledge, not a secret bitcoin farming tool :)

Because, yeah, the game really needed yet another set of hoops to jump through in order to collect more dribbles of free stuff.

What is Azarus' revenue model? How are they actually making money?
What information of mine are they going to scavenge and sell if I use this add-on?

What safeguards are in place to protect us, the users?
Do we have any rights if we use this or are they all forgone if we accept the EULA?

More questions than answers right now.

1. Do contributors need to sign up, and we have to watch those who do?

2. Does a WG stream (where do i find that) work already with this?

3. Is this just launch time, and we have to wait some x# of days before it actually works?

at the moment, it looks more like i am waiting for paint to dry. Ho Hum.

(edit on 1) Well it looks like it might be active with all Twitch Wot Streamers, at least it shows up on Daki's stream. but still waiting for something/anything to happen.

Oh, silly of me to assume there is a link to our stream in the article.
www.twitch.tv/worldoftanksna
This is for our twitch channel. Once we look at data we can explore the possibility of getting support for Contributors as well but that's all up in the air at this point.
Azarus will be active on our Twitch Channel moving forward, likely starting up on our Thursday stream at 6PM CT.

Azarus is getting the information that's publicly available on your twitch profile, and your username from our API. To my knowledge we're pretty strict about GDPR compliance so I have no reason to suspect there is any foul play or a backdoor for Russian hackers to steal your sensitive info.

"Dribbles" and "jumping through hoops' is strong language for "we want you to actively watch and participate in our streams." Many of the questions are simple like "how many tanks did Cabbagemechanic destroy in the last battle?" so I imagine earning Aza will be quite easy, with rewards like equipment for the higher-tier rewards. Gating the rewards behind trivia questions allows us to ensure people are actually watching and not just leaving the stream running in the background to farm free stuff :)
