Sole fact that you are alive has effect. If enemy knows where you are, they won't poke. Even if you can't effectively attack them, you still can block an alley with fear alone. And if they poke... KABOOM.

Unlike JP100, 268v4 or other "assault TD", you won't really be expected to be "active". You can still help in corner brawl by announcing your reload (F7, or from Z menu), some players will try to sync with your boomstick to give you safe shot.

Yup. Its the King of the Derps.

Can one-shot enemies? Yes.

Will miss perfectly aimed shot at 10 meters but will easily zap LT running at 60km/h with snapshot? Yes.

Are people rightfully afraid of it? Yes.

Require situational awareness on when to trade HP for shot? Yes.

Playing KV-2 against tier 8 is pretty much like playing FV. Everyone will try to kill you because they are afraid of what you will do to them.

Derps require a special kind of feel, and familiarity with HE/HESH mechanics. While you can learn it in any tank, KV-2 is just best choice due to favorable MM. SU-152 have same gun and no turret, so it can cover camping aspect of derping.

aight, i guess ill try the KV-2 out.

Thanks so much :)

Side note:
Tier for tier the KV-2 is miles better than the FV4005. While the FV4005 had a brief period of good performance, WG realized pretty quickly that it was a detriment to normal game flow at T10 and nerfed it again purely in the interest of population control(instead of fixing the root issues with it).  In another example of russian bias, they've left the KV-2 alone at T6, despite the same root issues as the FV.

So, good luck on your quest to master the FV, and don't worry too much if your WR in it is a bit lower than your other T10s, as it is once again underperforming.
