Full HE round defense not registering

Good day Support, 

 

I'm having a huge issue with the defense missions in the 279 campaign. While attempting any of the missions if you full block a HE round from a tank it does not register as blocked for defense or as a round blocked for the the missions. This is a huge pain due to the fact that when you use heavily armored vehicles (Maus, 268 4, E3) people will automatically switch to HE and throw rounds till they are out and there is no way for me to complete the missions. Today during an attempt a Badger shot my Maus 6 times for 0 damage, but only 1 round registered as it was the only AP round. the badger rounds would say that 640 damage was blocked but nothing would add to the defense stats. based on what was shown i should have had 3620 defense from the badger, but got 420 since he only fired a single AP. this is even represented in the post game screen when it says that the badger was defended 6 times, but only shows 400 as the damage defended. This bug has made it practically impossible to complete the 279 missions

 

Please fix, it's maddening.

HE has never counted as blocked damage- so nothing needs to be fixed , working as intended

HE rounds used to VERY RARELY count as blocked damaged if they not only completely failed to deal damage to the target's HP, but also any of it's external modules. Needless to say, this never happened outside of small caliber HE memes against TOG IIs. So now not even that situation counts. :trollface:

i have bounced arty HE off vk100 and maus....  doubt they counted as blocked damage though... i was the shooter....

It shouldnt be blocked at all, its such a bad measurement in this game because half of what you deflect doesnt count as "blocked".

 

A much better metric would be mitigation, someone shoots with HE  with average damage of 500 but you take damage for 200 then you should have 300 mitigated added to your total, this would require a complete reworking of block missions which Im all for personally.

Whats really good about the blocking missions is that shots into tracks don’t count.  So if you play smart and angle for heat shots to hit tracks and stop the penetration it doesn’t count.

Yep, the round has to make contact with the hull itself. If it gets entirely absorbed by the tracks or flies straight through from front to back, no blocked damage for you!
