Here are my thoughts on the e5 and its state in the current Meta. First off I do not think it is a terrible tank but when stacked against the other heavies at tier X it has no niche. I believe the concept of the america tree in general is they are supposed to be solid all around tanks that can hold their own in all kinds of terrain. The problem with the e5 is it has three massive weak spots, front sprocket, cupola, lower front plate that essentially render it's armor useless in anything but mid to long range combat. For a tank that has low alpha, average at best DPM and what is now average mobility the holes in the armor make it extremely difficult for it to pull its weight. I do however think with a slight buff to the armor, mobility and DPM the e5 could again fit into the Meta as a all around heavy that does not excel at any one thing but can make a solid accounting of itself in nearly any situation. With that said here are my ideas for the buff

*Armor: Front Sprocket. The current supertest value seems to have greatly reduced the tracked, racked and damaging number of shots while sidescraping

Cupola should be reliable against standard pen from tier X heavies and mediums and have a shot at bouncing premium rounds if the e5 is using its full gun depression

Lower Front Plate is fine as is so long as the front sprocket and cupola issues get addressed.

*Gun:    Handling and penetration are fine, reload rate is a little slow for 400 alpha in my opinion. I feel like a base DPM between the WZ5a and the Sconq would be a good place (2800)

*Mobility: Pwr/Wt, traverse and resistances all unchanged, 45 forward, 15 reverse. Faster than a Sconq but slower than a 5a, 113 and 277

Those are my ideas and I feel like they would put the e5 into a good balanced state. Not as good as a Sconq, Kran or Chief when on a ridgeline or hull down but possibly better than them on flat ground or in a city. Not as fast or as good on flat ground as a is7, 277 or 5a but with better ridgeline potential and more DPM. In other words in the middle with potential to play nearly any spot in the game but if you run into one of the tanks that is more specialized in that spot you will be at a disadvantage

The E5 should be as before as there are now much better tanks than it. We all want the E5 to come back!

As it was before I still do not see a place for it in the current Meta. . . . Sconq, Chief and Kran would all be better Ridgeliners than pre nerf e5. 277, 5a, 260, 430u etc etc would all be faster with more Alpha and better overall protection to be flankers. I think a more comprehensive approach to the buff is needed put its mobility and dpm in the middle of the specialist with better overall armor but not impenetrable. Then you have mobility, decent protection, solid dpm and handling which might allow you to use your overall ability and knowledge to get one of the more specialized tanks into a spot where you have the advantage
