Hello. I want to keep the contacts I have but occasionally want to play by myself without constantly being asked to enter into a platoon. Is it possible to temporarily hide from my contacts when I am playing WOT?

Correct me if I am wrong, but can you not simply turn off all chat messages. If I am correct then do that and turn them back on if you want to toon/chat with others.

You would have to unfriend them.

Afaik what bad states is the only way.

Disabling PMs won't work as they're on his contact list.  The setting blocks everyone but folks on your contact list.  And if I understand OP correctly he's wanting to hide his online status.

OP afaik there's no way to hide if you're "online" from folks on your friends list in the garage.

Edit: To clarify there's a setting for battles and the garage.   The garage still allows folks from your contact list to message you.  Even if that could be blocked afaik they could still see you're online status in the contact pane in the garage.   The battle chat is different and won't help OP hide his online status nor receiving garage PMs from friends.

When I make a platoon I invite everyone on my list. If they don't join, I don't mind, they're doing their own thing.

If I want to play with someone specifically, I message them privately.

If they say "sorry man, I'm in one" or "sorry man, I'm running solo", I don't mind, they're doing your own thing.

If someone invites you, feel free to decline.

If they DM you, feel free to say "sorry man, I'm running solo".
If they have a problem with that, they have a problem.

So maybe I've learned something here - players ask me to join a platoon just as the countdown ends not because they want me specifically but because they have asked EVERYONE!?! Besides not getting any extra XP for an in-battle 'toon, it's very distractive. Now I won't feel bad when I ignore the invite(s).

10% extra xp and 10% extra credits if you join an in-game platoon - quit the platoon at the end of the battle.

People realise it's just a way to get extra xp and credits and aren't offended.

It does not seem to be that way any more.
Platoon joining battle gets credits. Platoon made after joining battle does not.
