Greetings Commanders!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Just another update on the Fair Play ban hammer activity!  In this wave for the Americas, we’ve penalized 491 accounts: 340 of these received their first warning, and 151 were banned permanently.

We need a wall of shame. The name of the account and the clan they were in. Or at least a color given to the in game names of people who got cited for cheating, so everyone knows they are a cheater.

Also for the 10th Anniversary of WOT, I thought WG was going to unban all accounts? Please tell me this is not true...

This was cited from an interview with one of the devs:

  • Will there be an Amnesty for fans of Banned mods?
  • “This year the project is 10 years old. On the night of August 12-14, the game was released in Russia. Yes, there will be a General Amnesty in honor of the 10th anniversary.
But this does not mean that right now you can go and create heresy. We will not unban such people, starting from the moment of this stream!”- Anton Pankov (Product Director of World of Tanks).

EDIT: Here is the article from the official WOT EU website. https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/features-2020/

Do you plan to “pardon” banned players at the 10th Anniversary of World of Tanks?
Yes, we do, but we are not yet ready to disclose the details about which players and violations will be "pardoned".

I really hope they don't!

A warning is a warning, but if someone is banned permanently IMO the name should be released.

Alright, now how about some bans for everything else? Including but not limited to

-Physics abuse(to kill teammates)

-Rigging

-Post-game harassment

Like, just deal with your [edited]playerbase lol.

What I WOULD like to see is a list of the mods cited as cheats used and the publisher.

Just submit a ticket with a replay for in game. Turn off receiving incoming chat for any garage stuff.

It's probably just chat banned people not folks who cheated in the game.

One, I'm happy to hear that this is still periodically a thing, though I'm still a bit dubious of the claims.

Two, a few particularly ardent "Tsavo is a cheater" fellers are just gonna have to wait just keep on waiting for something that'll never happen.

Sorry but, I'm not just a bit dubious but I just don't believe they are really doing anything.  Anybody can claim anything they want, as long as they don't name and shame.  This is the one time that naming and shaming needs to be done.  Not only the individuals but the clans they are from, as well, just to send a public message to all players that they are really doing something.  I hope they are but when proof is really needed?  They just always come up short.  Sorry Jam but I just don't believe it.

There must be some type of amnesty or forgiveness policy here.  I've only been playing 3 years but I've seen clips of folks who cheated in various degrees before my arrival and yet they're playing today and are quite popular.  Other known cheaters just start up a new account and pretend that nothing ever happened (with their WG & Twitch bans) even though everyone knows who they are.  LOL.

Y'all are different than I am.

I buy they're doing something as there's almost always a thread of three from someone who got a 7 day ban or someone who got perma'd every time they do a batch of these fair play bans.

I'd love a list of accounts banned and why, but we'll never get that.

"Grow a pair" "Rigging?"

Making assumptions there. I'm not the one that needs to grow a pair lol

As for rigging, people who know each other outside of the match(clanmates) being on opposite teams ignoring each other or suicide into each other so they can farm damage. And no its not a rage-assumption that its what they were doing.

I do have it like that. I would rather not because of the benefits of post-game messaging but its annoying how many WoT players are spergs and will blow up over nothing.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I've basically gave up on submitting tickets because nobody thus far has been banned, whether its physics abuse, rigging, team killing etc. Its just a waste of time at this point.

Cheats and hacks are not possible in this game for it is server based.

Within five minutes of a ban that guy or gal can be right back in the game. There are hundreds of accounts for sale everyday. Although I am sure people appreciate WG taking action its really worthless in the fact they can be right back in the game.

Im glad WG is banning cheaters in the game, but the usage of the word fair from WG is a f'ng joke.  Try being fair to NA customers and stop the Russian bias bs.  Prog getting ner'd, lol, and the half a$$ attempt to nerf the 430U is fair?  EBR's suck and need a nerf, but at least we can all get on in the tech tree.  Maybe be fair top the avg, good players and allow us to have tanks that can at least have a fighting chance against the ridiculous OP unfair reward tanks.

Ban your devs and the incompetent decision makers who cater to one country.
