This is suppose to be a Tank Battle Game (World of Tanks) and yet tankers are getting detracked, pinned down and killed by Arty. This aint World of Artillery is it? Please, lesser the effect of Arty on the tanks. It kills the fun out of the game.

Thank you!

Ahhhhh  Here we present to you a traditional whine.

It lacks body, originality or true forethought....but it's a decent run-of-the-mill whine, for one on a budget.

I don't know about you, but I sure enjoy losing over a third of my health because someone three meters from the redline clicked on my tank. I think it really adds something to the WoT experience that makes it more special than other games. No other game I've encountered has a mechanic that can destroy the effectiveness of my gameplay completely randomly and without warning, and it's what makes World of Tanks distinct and enjoyable.

But I play arty for the fun of it. So you saying arty is taking the fun out of the game is just wrong.

Unless you agree... you may not be 'woke' enough - whatever the hell that means...

Modern tank warfare has lots of arty. In fact it often soften ups enemy tanks before a attack. Get use to it. We could have fighter bombers ! One more thing.  Arty has always been equipped with anti tank heat rounds for self defence but the arty whiner girls took it away. The German 88 was a arty, anti aircraft and anti tank gun. It was great at the Antitank role. I believe the guns on Russian heavy tanks performed in the arty role also. Quit whining already.

Now all we need is a rigged MM and ban wheelies post in the next 2 minutes for the holy WG trifecta.

Wheelies would be fine if it wasn't for their perfect target tracking feature.

That's your incorrect interpretation.  Now here's what Wargaming, the company whose platform World of Tanks is, says about the game:

Welcome to World of Tanks!
World of Tanks is a massively multiplayer online game featuring combat vehicles from the mid-20th century. Join tankers from all over the world, throw yourself into epic tank battles, and fight for victory!

You can find that here if you are unsure about what I just relayed:  https://worldoftanks.com/en/content/guide/newcomers-guide/

The OP said "This is suppose to be a Tank Battle Game (World of Tanks)" and yet he whines about an integral part of the game that has been in it since Beta, and meanwhile ignores the non-tank wheelies that are a recent addition that has damaged the game more than SPG's ever did.
Agenda?
Near sighted?

Unconscious?
Having a bad day?

how lesser do you want? you have to remember that just like you people who play arty spend time advancing the tree they like.  how would you feel if they made a vehicle you liked to play unplayable by nerfs?

if you are going to complain they are too accurate its the fault of the gun stats, the lock on has no bearing on that

man i was gonna put a post about how expecting a company to milit what they put in a game because he wants to take the name literally is kind of silly but here is the next best thing.  the above quote is fact

Tell me where he is wrong though?. It is NEVER fun to get hit by arty. ESPECIALLY if you're in a lightly armored tank. Unless you SOMEHOW enjoy getting hit by arty. Getting hit by anything other than arty can actually teach you things about the game and makes you make better informed decisions in future games, and it's what makes the game actually somewhat competitive and fun (sometimes). Arty shots don't do that.

They have been for a long time. When it's one I don't really worry about it too much, I can handle it. When there's two or three it's beyond risky to put yourself into a position to be focused. When there's three on any given map I make it a point to take a position they can't touch or I make damn sure to avoid being spotted. The only fun they ruin for me, with how I handle the number I see, is forcing me to hide somewhere instead of taking a position that's more aggressive. That's the biggest beef with people who hate the class. You're shot by an all seeing eye simply for existing and there isn't jack all you can do about it as far as retaliation goes. At least with other tanks you can shoot back at them. If they were designed to be like the 304 and require being really close to what they're shooting at I'd call it even. They'd have to put themselves at risk to get the damage.

If that were the solution, you would have to drastically buff rate of fire, penetration, damage, or mobility (or any combination of the four).  Otherwise you have insanely vulnerable XP piñatas effectively acting as slightly more mobile Anti-Tank guns, like a PAK40.
Range is the only protection artillery has.  The days of shotgunning a tank that is charging you are long over, due to the fact that their pen and damage were both reduced by 50% when they brought in the stun mechanics.

Even the FV304 has high mobility and rate of fire for an SPG, even though that was nerfed (and the size of the vehicle increased).
Also consider: Closer artillery also means higher shell arcs, making fewer and fewer places “arty-safe” cover.
