Seriously WG? You put this nice idea out there, these "Progressive Elements" that provides Badges for achievements. But we only get 1 Element for 1 map type. We can BUY copies of that element for Gold to place on our vehicles for the other map types. When we improve that Badge, does it automatically change and upgrade the purchased badges? I'm betting NO, it doesn't. Then I have to purchase even more badges if I want to reflect my achievements. That's some BS right there. So I thought it a nice idea, was looking forward to customizing my vehicles a bit. But no, I'll pass on that.

I just put mine on the more common summer temperate zone maps. The upgrades are free and automatic.

Nah you are good.  You just need to get progressive decals for 3 different achievements, then you will have enough for all weather types.

was kinda bummed it wasn't a complete set as well.   Not sure why it wouldn't be, i guess it is made of expensive, rare materials.

I don't really mind. I want WG to start putting more and more customization options in the game for gold and money to start going that route for monetization. No one is really making you put those decals on and to put the tier 1 versions on is a complete waste anyways. Just wait till you get the higher tier unlocked on any given tank you are actually enjoying playing and go from there. Paying a little gold isn't that big of a deal. 

 

Plus nowadays it seems like anyone that has ever bought loot boxes are still hoarding 25,000+ gold in their garage but are going to be the ones complaining about having to spend a few hundred gold to show off a giant decal on their tank.

What's a loot box?   I've only been playing since the pandemic.   Gold isn't seeping out the pores for me.

 

As a new player it seemed a little odd to not make it universal across the seasons.   It's not like the achievement was done using only one map type.

I bought two of the little packages ($7) and was amazed at what I got, so I bought one of the largest packages. After that was done I had all the premium tanks that were available, 100+ days of premium and over 80,000 gold.

25k gold??? pffft!!! i still have 160k since December 2018....you plebes! (seriously, that was a GREAT haul in LootBoxes, was at 400k gold in Jan 2019)

For the last couple years during December we have the mystery boxes that get released. You can buy them individually or in bundles and they give you decorations for your garage missions, gold, consumables, special 3D skins for some tier X tanks and most importantly a select few premium vehicles can be had that are normally more rare or the better ones that have been released in previous years. They have also introduced a brand new tier 8 premium the past two years that everyone goes after from the boxes.

 

The loot boxes have become a way for people to stock up on gold every year nowadays. Each time you buy a box you are guaranteed to get the value you spent back in rewards and since if you already owned one of the premium vehicles and you get a double of it, you get the full gold value of the tank instead. So some people will spend over a hundred bucks at xmas during these events and get a couple years worth of gold in return. There has been so much gold in peoples garages the past couple years that Wargaming introduced the "Black Market" where it will sometimes sell tanks for gold instead of real money, just trying to bleed the big gold reserves that the Christmas boxes keep giving people. 

 

Here is a vid of QB opening up 200 of the boxes all at once this past event. He keeps track of his rewards so you can see just how much he gets from them overall and why so many people just wait till Christmas to buy anything in the game since you get the best value for your dollar.

It gets even worse than that. If you earn a level one and then the level two, you can put them both on but you will be charged 100 gold FOR AN EMBLEM YOU ALREADY EARNED! All of these elmblems I earned and are available in the Progressive Elements. However, If I try to put on two of the same named elements (ie: Sharp Sword), even though they are different graphically, different levels, and I own them (earned them), WG charges 100 gold just the same as if I was trying to put 2 of the same element on. The latter case I would understand, but not when I earn multiple levels and essencially have 6 different elements. To me this would be like charging a player for putting two flags emblems of two different countries on even if he owns both but because they are flags you can only have one on free. WG you need to change this.
