Dunno... I played several hours today, no ghost rounds though.

3 so far this afternoon. Just watched the latest replay - in my Steyr WT - zeroed in on a Scorpion for the kill...and...shot disappeared. Nothing.

That *SO* ages us. :) Do kids even know who Van Halen is or they too busy pulling down statues of white dudes?

They probably have no idea. It's sad that Eddie probably won't be playing much longer.

Or you could read the EULA about the use of swearing.

Sounds more like you didn't bother reading it.

You have to ignore Georgie, he's always wearing his rose colored glasses and doesn't see things the same way you do.

Its crazy, Never, in my years of playing across multiple accounts have I ever had a ghost shell. Not once. Chances are, if you are seeing ghost rounds, it has less to do with the game and more to do with your unstable connection making it look like you fire but not actually recording the shell as launching, check your ammo to see if a shell is actually missing, also check your ping at the time of the shot. If that isnt happening, keep in mind that shells can go to unexpected places, through the smallest holes in armor(the Skorpions turret for example) or to the very edges of your aiming circle. If you had a replay of these "Ghost rounds" I think it would be helpful.

Edit: also, with bushes in the way it can be really hard to see where shells land sometimes, you mentioned that you shot at a scorpion, which has holes on its turret, so the shell may have gone through one one those. There are replay mods(or maybe just settings, tbh i havent messed with replays much) that allow you to take a different angle on and slow down the shot. Use one of these to see around the bushes and you should be able to see where your shot is really going.

Its debateable how common they are, but they definitely exist and Wargaming has admitted as such. Quickybaby has shown them in his videos as well. Some weeks I don't notice any, and other weeks it seems like I get several per day. Pull the trigger, hear the bang, and the shell disappears like it never existed. Most noticeable at closer ranges when there is a wall behind the target. You did not score a hit on the target (unlikely, but possible) but then the shell does not impact the ground or the wall behind either. That's when you know 100% it was a ghost shell. Most people do not catch when they fire ghost shells in the heat of battle, simply assuming they missed.

Another member of The GeorgePreddy / play4funz Fan Club speaks up from his alt account because he's banned in his real account.

Thanks for coming by (and not ignoring me).

So you would rather resort to Ad Hominems instead of reading and abiding by the actual rules?

Sounds less than ideal.

I had a lot of ghost rounds in the past week. I have been keeping video recordings of them.

I am pressing fire and the round doesn't go out and then it reloads

Here is one cause of ghost shells.

Note that my tank has not been spotted.  The hits I am receiving are being shot at the Patton behind me.  The enemy players will see the full red outline of the Patton because their clients don't know I am there, so I don't show as blocking their shots.  Their shots will look like ghost shells that totally disappear.

This probably isn't the only cause of ghost shells, but I expect it is quite common.
