In this post:

http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/446742-prohibited-conduct-during-clan-wars-events/

It says this:

Prohibited Conduct During Clan Wars Events.....

Examples of prohibited play in games.

  • Not killing the remaining enemy, to gain additional fame (playing with the food)
  • Not killing/firing upon enemy tanks, when its obvious that should be happening in normal play.

My clan members sent in about 7 or 8 tickets about clans playing with their food with all the information required and an attached the replay from last campaign.  Several clans did it 3 times or more.  Yet nobody involved got banned or lost fame points.  There were clans that would pin the last tank or TD alive against a building with multiple tanks, then put several other tanks on cap and not kill the last tank until the cap timer reached 100%.  There were clans that refused to kill the last remaining arty while they were capping until the cap timer reached 100% even though the arty drove out into the open next to cap or on cap so that they could be destroyed and end the battle.

Previously, the people running clan wars for Wargaming told the officers of several clans that this behavior was against the rules and also referenced the forum post with the prohibited behavior.  After submitting multiple tickets against the same clans the last campaign absolutely nothing was done about this.  Does this mean playing with your food is now legal and anyone can use it to game the system and maximize fame points next campaign?  Can we get an official word from Wargaming about this?

If its now legal, then everyone should know so that they can do it next campaign to maximize fame points.

I am guessing those are implemented to avoid or stop clan wars rigging or fixed game.

I am not seeing it being legal. But those are still prohibited.

Rules like this, among other things, is why clan wars died 6 years ago.

Imagine having clan leadership that tries to follow all the rules of the campaign and expects other clans to follow the rules also.

Imagine making it far enough through landing tournaments that you keep facing the same two top 10 clans.

The problem with the rule is that it is open to interpretation, in this last campaign I think I was only in one game that didn’t end with the losing team getting wiped out completely.  So how do you determine who broke the rules and who didn’t?

I have seen it where better clans will try to find novel ways to kill the last enemy tank.

Push off a cliff, drown, ram, etc.

If your clan is finding itself in a position where you only have one tank left against a foe who has many tanks left again and again in clan wars, perhaps you should play more strongholds/advances to get better...?

All you better clans better be on warning if you keep playing with your food.

IOC, not ARMD, but just to give some context for newer players.  Since this needs to never die.

If you read above you would see that this post has absolutely noting to do with a novel way to kill the last tank.  It has to do with refusing to kill the last tank until there is about 1 second left on the cap timer.

My clan probably fought ~300 battles last campaign.  We ran 3 or 4 teams most nights.  Out of them 7 or 8 of them ended up in a situation with one tank left where there was one tank left, the enemy had 5 to 7 tanks, left and the enemy refused to kill it.  That's less than 3% of the battle played.  In most cases it was our arty that was the last one left alive.  That's not uncommon in clan wars battles.  Clan wars battles rarely end in 1 vs 1 situations.

What I find interesting is after trying to contact Wargaming in multiple ways(forums, discord, tickets, etc...) about this I still can't get anyone from Wargaming to say if playing with your food to maximize fame points is now legal or not.  THe forum psot about prohibited conduct says its not legal.

So, basically no one answered the question.  Can you use food in clan wars now?
