In the Notifications Center, bottom right of screen, there's a link to "Your Stats on the XVM website". When I click there, it takes me to a site that displays my stats. There is a button there that opens a new window, to www.overtank.com It seems like they are implying that they can help get me any Tier X tank in 2 days. Anyone know what this is about. Seems like they have unicums that will play your account and grind credits and stuff. Is this for real? Just curious, not sure I would want this. Think I heard of this once before in a stream as well. I bet they charge an arm and a leg for it. Anyone know anything about it?  Is it legit?  Does WoT allow this?

No it is not allowed and is probably a great way to get your account stolen.

Aside from it being against the EULA (I believe) to share your account I really hope you're not seriously thinking about letting someone else have full access to your account ?

Thanks, that's what I figured.

No, not thinking about it, although it would be cool to get a crapload of credits and XP really fast, but I figured it was against the rules.

I'm just surprised that WoT allows the message to appear in the Notification Center.

Actually, thanks for bringing it up. A lot of players think it is legit, and it is far from it.

That is a part of a mod, WoT does not advertise in the notification center. My guess it is XVM.

Hopefully no one is that naïve to turn over their account. If so then no sympathy - play stupid games and you win stupid prizes.

So are mods allowed to advertise this stuff?

I'd say not, sounds like some sketchy mod.

This sounds like you installed a mod that us modpackers call "The Dark Side". I suggest nuking your mods, and turning to a modpack like Relhax, or Aslains that checks for this kind of stuff.

OR

This is just an advert on the XVM website, and there isnt anything fishy going on. You need to be more clear on where this advert is.

As for boosting, no, its not legal. Account sharing is.

If nobody was silly enough to do it then the service wouldn't exist ...... sadly there are people who will do it for one reason or another and some of them will be taken advantage of

This is exactly what us no mods allowed players know will and does happen.  XVM is getting into bed with illegal activities, that go strictly against the EULA but people keep downloading XVM and using mods.  It's only natural for these types of things to happen.  Comes as no surprise to me.

Or at the very least, account sharing is one of those quasi-allowed things (technically against ToS, but will generally only be enforced if money is involved, or if other rule violations occur during said sharing).

For the most part, what I've seen in official statements is that sharing your account info is at your own risk, since anything improper done on your account will be held against it.

There IS an easy way to get a lot of Credits and possibly a good amount of XP really, really fast.....and, it's legit.

Go to the Premium Shop and buy either the "War Chest WoT", "Jackpot!", or the "25k Gold" bundle. Then, log into your account.

If you bought the "War Chest WoT" or "Jackpot!" bundle, you would have an extra 10 million Credits. If not, use some of that 25k Gold that you bought to purchase some Credits.

As for the XP, click on the "FreeXP" icon to use some of that Gold you purchased to convert "spare" XP into "FreeXP".

The ToS nor the EULA prevent it. Its more of a frowned upon thing that is not technically illegal.

Not sure if I am sad about it. If they are dumb enough to fall for it then it is kind of on them.
