Thank you for your constructive feedback. I am sure the developers removed those maps due to imbalances found by the Community. Which is why they were removed. 

 

Changing maps pre 1.0 was a difficult task with the Game engine, which made it easier to just make more maps and remove the ones that had major flaws. 

 

Now that 1.0 is here Updating the graphics and tweaking maps to avoid problems is much easier.

Can not have anything unbalanced except for Russian tanks. I have yet to see a map they reworked that is better than the one it replaced.

Honestly confused seeing all these dudes complaining about the changes to this map. More of the map is viable now, and I see a good amount of cover from the absolutely dreadful and boring arty/TD gameplay I've been witnessing a lot recently. Before the rework, the team that had won the North Corridor basically would own the middle of the map and continue snowballing from there. There was also not very many options for those playing meds to get good game-changing flanks off, and the few tanks going West would be almost entirely useless unless there were enough players/good players who could push early. 

 

That being said, I have come to the conclusion there's still so many people who lack understanding of what map control is and what it can do for a team, random or organized. WG does something right for once by actually opening up the middle of the map and allowing it to be much more viable. The map is still basically the same as when it was first introduced, only now the middle is much more viable and you won't have as many bots running in the middle under the city getting shot from 8 different angles.

 

EDIT: As soon as I hit the post button I came to the realization that is map is simply just a better version of Mines now. If you like Mines and hate the rework for this map for whatever reason, try and think about it for a little bit.

Total GARBAG map, FAR TOO EASY for just a single tank to yolo and hit MID, not infiltration of enemy side, simply rush the BOTTLE NECK MID POINT, then 100% FREE AND CLEAR to spot ENTIRE ENEMY SIDE BEYOND CAP!

 

ALSO, the rush past the bottleneck also allows a med tier 10 to spot ALL THE WAY TO THE RED LINE!

 

GARBAGE MAP, use to be a great map, now it is complete and total TRASH!

 

Spotting is so off, map is not even fun.

That's because the maps they remove/rework, they do so to CATER to the try hard wn8 farming stat losers of the game.

 

They are the loudest whiners and WG keeps listening to them.  

 

Eventually there will be no game, as all the REAL players have left, and all that is left is 1 set of tanks superior to all and no chance for lights to passive spot, TD's to have a LOF, nor arty to have a green line.

 

That is what all the try hards want, all while they camp by the TD's and ARTY and snipe in lights and meds thinking that their participation trophy farmed stats mean something outside of their tiny little world.

 

I miss the good days, before gold rounds for credits, maps that gave LOF and LOS and people actually had to think and try, now it is all catered to the farmer.

And that's what they ALWAYS do, and it is to cater to the FARMERS!

 

Dragon Ridge was one of the most dynamic maps in the game, so many places to go, to hide, yanked that one real quick.

 

The FARMERS didn't like getting hit from multiple directions while they camped and farmed.

 

They want everyone to go to the SAME SPOTS and play the EXACT SAME WAY EVERY TIME EVERY MAP!

 

None of this, can take on 5 different approaches and they can't safely sit in the back and farm without fear of being spotted and shot before they could hit purple for the battle and then run around acting like they are skilled because they can left click and are PRO at USING 14 others.

 

Same with: Port, South CoastSeverogorsk, Swamp, Northwest, and Windstorm.  All were far too dynamic and allow players to play outside of the tiny MUST GO HERE AND ONLY HERE boxes, with the illusion of open maps.
