Since this equipment update is all about trying to take more money out of the paying playerbase, what I would have done instead of making nets and binos complex equipment is the following:

Make it so each vehicle now has 6 equipment slots divided in two sets of 3.

The player can use one set for a scouting build and the other for a survivability build, etc.

During battle countdown the player will look at the map/team composition and can click on some UI button to select which set of equipment he thinks is the most adequate.

BAM! You now have the potential to double the credit expenditure of the players and they can also experiment different builds.

There's issue with what you say. Not everyone gets to see the battle countdown. For example, sometimes when I join the battle the countdown is 20, other times it is 5 and other times there's no countdown at all

Good suggestion.

One other thing I've always found puzzling is,  when the battles starts, WHY IS YOUR GUN NOT ALREADY LOADED ?   I guess tanks always go into a fight unprepared for battle.   When the counter hits zero, your gun/clip should already be loaded.   But as usual WG seems to have to do things backwards.

Everyone misfires and happen to ammo rack or burn down half the team? Not that it matters anymore without team damage.

...or arty blindfire first thing...

Arty would immediately nuke the enemy spawn, which would be annoying as crap.

I had that problem too. For me, the slow loading time was due to the HDD I was using. I switched to an M2 SSD and wow itis lightning fast. I wait almost every game for enough players to load for the chat to start. I personally would have like a preplan phase. SO dedicated players could plan a strategy with each other and hopefully lessen lemming trains of low IQ.

As Christojojo says, unless you have very low system memory loading times are affected by disk access times, my computer is 7 years old, it wasnt a top-end build even back then and I use a mechanical HDD, but most times I load even before the countdown starts. The trick is either getting a SSD or if you can't, at least keep your HDD well defragged.
