They're on so many of the tanks already. Add the ability to shoot them off via a consumable. Make the concealment decay from whatever the max initial bonus is to zero like a fire currently burns.

 

It would add a fun gameplay element and a strategic holy sh*t button for times where you make a boo-boo and get caught in the open.

I remember when Team Yankee came out for the Amiga and you could drop a smoke barrage on the enemy.  Interesting idea.

wg stated it's not happening a long time ago because their Russian playerbase have crappy computers and they don't want to increase the load that WOT takes

Interesting. There's so many games that have managed to make the complexity of shadows/fire/smoke etc. variable while still being visible that you'd think it's a pretty known quantity to implement in a game now.

You'd be surprised at how bad some people's computers are and how desperate WG is to hold onto their playerbase in Russia. Why do you think they keep an SD version of their clients?
