What are some people running? currently, I am running IRM (Improved Rotation Mechanism), Vents and Vstabs. But I'm wondering if there is a better option.

Also is it worth putting everything into gun performance or maybe extend the view range a bit?

I went with IRM, optics, VStab. But I can't break 94.5% so don't take my word for it.

I'm using irm bond optics and cvs as I play it more like a light tank. Add in food and the smooth ride directive and you don't miss the vstab since the irm gives half the bonus.

IRM, CVS and bond optics.  Food and a gun directive, whichever one is equivalent to snap shot.  Might go back to a build that emphasizes the gun and camo more, as I’m getting saddled with teams that are unaware thy can actually shoot what I’m lighting.  If you have designated target, adding the directive is plain mean, assuming you’re team knows what to do. Just frustrating to have games where players shoot what is lit to teams that don’t, especially when you have 3 arty on the team. Learning to do better with it in pubs, but man, does it shine when playing frontlines.

Thanks all, I might give optics a try.

I put on Improved Vents and Vstab as well as IRM and this thing is so quick and nimble now.

I'm running bond optics, bond vents, bond VStabs and food with a 6 skill crew, but I hover around 65% MoE with it, which isn't surprising given the limitations of the operator.  I tend to play passive/camo sniper/counter scout early game and only become more aggressive once things open up.

I am curious about other load outs and am wondering about both IRM instead of VStabs and CVS instead of vents.

I am trialing with Additional Grousers. I hate the slow traverse. Especially if i got in a tight spot and need to run and evade (which happens when caught in open and needing to reload). I think with a high skill player (not me :P) it would be reduntant as they can control engagement better but in my case (qualitatively) its improved my experience. (the other two are coated optics and vstab)

I have not played mine yet but IRM looks like a given due to it's two weaknesses being hull rotation and gun handling, going to wait for a bounty IRM though. Grousers could be an option as well, doesn't help the gun but really boosts hull rotation and terrain resists.

Bond VS + Bounty IRM + Bond Vents + food + fire directive.  This is my splurge tank.  Too bad, my skill is not there.

I have the grousers on mine as well, with the vstabs and improved rotation.  Mobility feels more balanced that way, like a Lancen.

Edit: I also have a 5 skill crew in it, so that helps as well.

Has there been any new consensus on what is the best loadout?

I've been running IRM, bond vents, bounty vertical stabilizer + food, BIA, and vision skills.

I was considering switching out IRM for optics. The soft stats seem relatively decent, but I am worried about the firing bloom after firing the first shot. However, the extra view range seems very beneficial for cutting through camo. Is it worth the loss in gun-handling and traverse speeds?

Attribute IRM Optics
Moving Dispersion* 0.06 0.07
Tank Traverse Dispersion* 0.06 0.07
Turret Traverse Dispersion* 0.06 0.07
Firing Dispersion* 2.32 2.65
View Range 456m 502m
Traverse (Turret/Body) 71.42/55.46 63.48/49.3

Note: Attributes marked with a * should be slightly better in both cases. I could not figure out how to get tanks.gg to account for BIA and vision skills.

pinned thread at the top of general discussion has some tips for pretty much any tank:  http://forum.worldof...r-the-sticky/

yzne's suggestions

Vent/IRM/Vert Stab Vent or Optics/IRM/Vert Stab

your play style will probably dictate whether vision abuse, or gun handling are your primary focuses
