Equipment changes where a net benefit to the game

Diversifying equipment is a noble goal but when there's so much unbalanced stuff in the game and two major parts of the update - buffing the Progetto 46 and buffing bond equipment  - run in direct opposition to this idea of balancing and benefiting the game... well...

Also not really a fan of encouraging people to play tier 2s, 3s and 5s so they can stomp new players.

So this is why you told everyone to spend all their anniversary coins a couple weeks ago?So we would have to buy coins to get a tank??And you know peeps were sucked in to that.

SAVE your coins everyone..

I think I missed something. How do you get the Valiant? Is it for sale or did I miss an event? I have all the other vehicles, just don't remember the Valiant other than it being mentioned on Armored Patrol...

EDIT:  Oops forget it. Just re-read the link and saw it was a gift. I apologize for my confusion.

(NB - I have been married as long as I have been playing tanks. Both are still the best)

Is the 10% price reduction going ahead as advertised?

And I want to clarify something; does it mean that all the premiums are going to be offered for sale in one huge event? That is my hope, I am in the market for a Rudy and a Raumpanzer.

I suspect not, and that the reduction is simply the price in the future when the tanks are put up for sale.

IN the end, you have to buy the Valiant and use it to crack the missions to get the A46.  Is that correct?

INCORRECT.

Do you have all you birthday gift tanks from 9 years ago?

Do you have any?

I have all 6 and will get 250 coins compo for each. Therefore I will get 1,500 coins. I also have 1,695 coins from the game missions. So I will have double what I need to obtain the Valiant direct.

If you have no coins from missions (spent them or whatever) and want the tank then you have the option to buy coins. Remember you can ease the burden by piling on to the missions currently and shortly available.

BUT;

Valient is a free gift gained by just logging in.

And you will also receive all the previous birthday tanks as well when you log in. (compo instead for those you currently have).

You only need coins for the Valiant if you do not do the missions specific in the 7 free tanks you are about to receive.

I believe you get the Valiant as a gift. You then need to use the Valiant and at least on of the previous gift tanks to complete missions for the A46. If you do not care to do the missions however you can bypass and just buy the A46 directly for tokens. Looks like ZYKLOP_ typed a bit faster than I did, lol.

Is there any word what happens with unspent anniversary tokens at the end of the event? I probably will get the A46 even though it isn't anything I am interested in, but will have a bunch of tokens left over. There is just nothing in the anniversary shop that I want or can use since I use preset camos that disallow the use of emblems and the other stuff I either have tons of (directives) or are for vehicles I will never own (styles). Will tokens be converted to credits at the end of the event? Has anyone bought an anniversary emblem and then sold it for credits?

Really mixed signals. After all that's been done recently to disincentive low tier play, Wot does this.

I'm going to be honest, as a player who has been playing since the day after release for NA this is a very lackluster reward, 10 years supporting this game and we're essentially getting 7 garage slots and a very under whelming tier 6 light tank. The rewards you're trying to feed us just doesn't make up the amount of time and money the veteran players have put into this game.

I mean for newer players this is awesome, but I feel like I'm getting a big middle finger as a thank you for 10 years of support. For +8 years of playing, free Tier 8 premium of our choosing or something worthwhile would of been really nice, I might be asking a lot, but we're basically getting robbed with the current rewards. I could be wrong, and maybe they have something in store for us veterans (one could only hope)

10 years is a HUGE accomplishment for a game, so the rewards should be fitting for such an event because this, this is severely disappointing.

Free tank after giving alot of players the shaft for not spending enough money, sounds like WG and some of their trash employees bright ideas.  Bet the tanks are just as much trash as the morons that came up with the rigging idea.

For myself free tanks are great, but I would be more impressed if Minsk would spend time fixing mm,rng, maps. Perhaps a closer look at 2.0 fiasco and remedy that crappy mess, all for making more USD. by way when will the NA get to buy the Russian obj 703 ll?

Complete Special Missions and Earn the Speedy A46!

Don’t stop reading yet! There’s another cool vehicle in store for you! During the Active Phase of Act V, from Monday, August 17 at 04:00 PT | 06:00 CT | 07:00 ET until Monday, August 24 at 04:00 PT | 06:00 CT | 07:00 ET, you can get your hands on the eighth gift tank, the A46

If its a "gift" tank then why do we have to work for it??

 All these folks complaining that they're "Not getting enough" or "dont like the reward"

Listen, I get it, you've played a game for 8 to 10 years or whatever. You've supported the game.

However, Wargaming didnt even have to do this for us. If you want to sling mud and call them names and scumbags, then they could just ya know give you nothing and really give you a middle finger instead.

They could have just said "Happy 10th Anniversary Everyone! Heres some discounts on premiums you can buy!" and left it at that. No in game decals or camos, no free little tonks, nothing. Sure, its a couple of garage slots at best, some credits maybe, or coins. That's it. However, its better than them just saying "Kiss our rear, thanks for the money nerds"

Seeing people say "We should get our choice of Tier VIII Premium" or something like that is just.... really irritating. Here's what would happen if they did:

  1. The selection they offered "Wouldnt be good enough" because naturally why would they put their best and brightest lineup out there? They'd probably put like the T34, IS6, Lowe, Panther 88, etc out there. The Classics of the game so to speak, and anything worth its weight would probably already have been bought by a veteran player.
  2. If there wasn't an account age cutoff point then it'd flood Tier 8 with low skill players, which would cause everyone on here to complain furiously. The mods wouldnt be able to keep up with it all
  3. If there was an account age cut off point, then people would complain that their account wasnt old enough to get the free Tier 8. So where do you set the deadline? 3 Years? 6 years? 8 Years? Would someone like me with 5+ years but less than 5k Battles be considered a Veteran?
  4. Even if they did hand out good tanks, say a choice between the 252U, Skorp, Progetto, 703 II, etc then people would just complain they flooded the MM with overpowered premiums and ruined high tier gameplay anyway!

Yall dont even give wargaming an out, theres no way they could possibly win. Just take the free stuff and just be happy a game you've played for so long is still going, there are many titles that dont even make it past 2 to 5 years let alone 10. Wargaming doesnt owe you squat, they never will, this isnt some job where playing it gets you compensation for what you've done.

Honestly, at first I was a little disappointed by the Anniversary event, but over the course of the acts, I grew to like it and felt it was very appropriate and well done. Barring hiccups from forces out of their control delaying Act V I'd say it went well. Plus the decals and camo's I got out of this were pretty neat and cool. I was glad to see things embracing some of the memes of the WoT community making their way into the game.

Its not much of a celebration at all but I think its a solid one.

Is there anything worse that low tier seal clubbing scum?

How about tier 10 arty players?
