The T34 American Heavy needs a buff severely. In the old days of tanks the Lowe and T34 were good tanks and then were power crept back into the abyss and then no one played them anymore. Now here we are in 2020 and the American tanks all got buffed and the Lowe had already been buffed and yet the T34 is forgotten and sad. It's mobility is far worse than the T29 and T32. To top it all off the equal Tier tech tree tank has now 25% (~1650 DPM vs ~2100) more DPM and better gun handling. Its unbearable to play when everyone knows it has a huge paper hull and its DPM is this poor any tank can when in a dpm trading match especially when the other tank is a med and can juke its slow turret all day long. The caernarvon the British Tier 8 with very similar tributes (strong turret, weak hull Armour) has another ~20% even on top of the T32. So am I really suppose to compete in my old T34 against something like that British monster?

I know in certain situations this thing can still be a monster but I think its because of the only players who have it are the people who have played this game forever and are above average and know how to use it. I'm not saying this thing needs to be op like the renegade or defender but at least make it as good as its tech tree counterpart so it doesn't feel like a slow pig.

Great post Ninja Turtle.  A buff is LONG overdue.  I have about 2300 games in my T34 (my most played tank) but I have only played it once in over two years.  I have enough trouble with great tanks but the T34 is now totally outclassed.

Never understood why it wasn't buffed a long time ago.

at this point it should definitely get better gun handling, the defender has a very similar reload, more alpha and armor, etc. it can still be a slow piece of crapwith poor dpm, but it should at least be accurate. and get a slight dpm buff.

Yes, I wish it would get the following buffs: 1) 25% buff to the rate of fire.  2) Minimum of a 20% buff to speed and mobility.  3) 10% buff to accuracy.  This would definitely put it back on par with the Lowe, which is already, for the most part there, where the T34 needs to be.

It has needed some adjustments for years. It should be in the top 5 heavy tanks in the game for its  tier. But WG is to busy creating a new communication system, new gear, new crew setup, developing an "extensively testing" wheeled vehicles to make sure they don't break the game, making mini modes and creating another line of tanks to highlight another Prem tank to sell to worry about an old edition of an American tank. Then if they ever do get to it they will KV-5 buff it. Which after the buff of the KV-5 how many are roaming the matches now. Almost none. If they wont properly buff a Russian classic what will they buff properly?

I'm running improved rotation and vert stab on my T34, has made it a bit more playable with -30% dispersion.

Why are the the only options in the poll: "omg its uber bad and it needs to be super buffed" and "its brokenly OP"?

I did this because humans have a hard time with multiple answers like a (1 to 10) how bad it needs a buff so I narrowed it to 2 responses. A good example is this in industry is Netflix switching from a 1 to 5 star system to a thumbs up or thumbs down. I also exaggerated the  words in the poll because it is more likely to get some attention or elicit a response. It is still a yes or no question when it boils down to it.

I recently did this and it does help it from getting death circled and with gun handling but the speed is still terrible. It made it feel almost snappy turning but then you hit w and nothing happens and its still a let down. Improved rotation is definitely better than the GLD option.

The T34 could definitely use some buffs. The gun handling needs work, but the ROF is honestly what is killing it. It's too slow. The absolute lowest you can get the ROF is around 11~ seconds. That is legit with everything: bond equipment (rammer, vents), BIA, Cola, (tanks.gg hasn't added the directive slot yet, so this is accurate as I can be). It's too long. If the gun did 440 alpha it would be worth it, but at 400 it's just not. I love the T34, I think it's in a better place than the other Tier VIII American heavies (being able to penetrate Tier X tanks is not something to be under estimated), but the DPM is just off putting once you start to do some comparisons.

I think the t32 needs a buff more than the t34. As long as WG wont give it a tier 9 top gun, i an't touching it. The current top gun makes it inferior compared to other tier 8 heavies.

Both need a buff.
Poor T32 has had that aweful gun since beta.   Before Gold's were as common as they are now.
They should just make up a fantasy 105mm with more power and give it to the T32.   Don't start with "historical accuracy", the T32 never had a 105 to begin with, so giving it a even faker one wouldn't hurt the T32.

As for the T34,  it used to be able to pump out shells like crazy when it was tier 9.
It needs a RoF and accuracy buff.   I dunno, make it like a T30 in terms of manuverability (which isn't alot), but with the lower dmg gun, it shoots faster.

I couldn't imagine this has had enough attention to make the big wigs at wargaming pay attention but skilfltu on youtube just posted a video on the T34 saying it "smells like poo-poo, here is how to fix it". He must be all knowing or its a great coincidence. He certainty can bring attention to this subject.

T34 honestly should be moved to becoming a premium TD. its a stock T30/120mm with worse gun handling. they can funnel HT players into the chrysler K and T26E5's for prem HTs.

I'm one of the odd ones that can get Ace tanker with the T32, but it is too weak of a gun to be fighting tier 10s. T32 stock turret is paper, T32 with the second one is 100% better, but yeah it it needs a better gun, at least in pen

T32 is a tank you really learn how to aim for weak spots, even the odd ones. I still say T32 is better than the terrible M103 tier for tier to the point I will blueprint the T110E5 and free xp the modules of the M103, minus the gun it shares with the T110E5. Alos, the argument of the T32 not being histically accurate goes would the window when you look at the T95, which the top gun for that should be 105mm, not 120mm nor 155mm.
T34, yeah. gun handling is the worst for all tier 8 heavies or stock without a derp gun and turret is just as bad and power creep makes it unreliable to play. Though for them to do this change, they have to do it to the T34 B as that is a variant tank of the T34.

Of course they should, the game is full of blueprint tanks anyway(thus their modules are blueprint as well), so why not give it a new blueprint gun? That, or replace the T32 with the T34 altogether, but that will also make the T34 lose its gold status...

T34 is already supposed to be pretty accurate, but the [edited]is in the details. The gun handling is just horrendous.

With the T32 they just need to buff it to be similar to the Renegade.

IMO, a bit engine buff (to ~15 p/w) and aiming time buff (to 2.7s) would go a long way making it a lot more enjoyable without being OP.  A bit DPM buff will not hurt either.

Although the T34 received such a small micro buff (side armor I believe) it was so insignificant it made very little difference. You don't see many T34s in battle and for good reason. It's trash. It's slow, aim time is terrible, reload is bad, traverse brutal and the hull armor.. well what hull armor?
