I am not a fan of SH, it wasn't bad last time, but this new one that forces you to play at near unicum levels is no fun for the average player.

My experience has been a little different. I won my second game yesterday, and I'm obviously no unicum. You're a far better plan than me. I have to admit, though, that I did zero damage in that first place finish. Not exactly everyone's idea of fun, of course. But a man's got to know his limitations.

Run away bravely!

Seven battles so far ... trying to run away to level up in each one and nope in six of them.  I've actually LOST CREDITS in six of my seven Steel Hunter battles due to spawn point RNG.

Ouch. Sounds like really bad luck Or perhaps I just got lucky spawns yesterday. I always picked the more remote of the two spawns in each game. In 7 games, I only saw an opponent within 30 seconds in 2 of them. I managed to top 5 in 3 of the 7 games. That said, perhaps I've jinxed myself and tonight I'll have a miserable experience.

I am doing my best to avoid any contact, by choosing the (most) remote spawn available and running from contact.  I just lost another one; precisely the same scenario and again, minus credits ... seven of eight (minus 65k credits in these battles).  This last one was even worse in that while trying to run away, my tank landed on it's side ... the five-second countdown to correct (auto back to on tracks) kept being interrupted by being shot.

Frontline is dominated by ebrs and is stupid.  Arty scumbags routine leave zones so more can spawn and stack games with 5 or 6.  I'll take seal hunter any day over FL.  First season was great.  Now FL just sucks.

EBR's are a nuisance but in Frontline I sometimes play a fast light on a respawn then go after the wheelies that think they are going to take out the arties. Surprises the hell out of them.

As for stacking arties, I don't think I have seen a game of FL where there were more than 3 playing at a time.

It's only dominated by EBR's if you sit in the immediate area that IS dominated by EBR's. The beauty of FL is you can leave that area and usually have actual tank battles elsewhere. Besides, I just ignore the EBR's and let them have their free damage (that is why people play them...). There's always someone who wants to deal with them so I don't bother with the headache.

Big maps=more options.

Try another strategy, go to the mid ... if I consistenly run into three plus enemies at the outlying locations, then mid is the place to be ... nope, immediately jumped by two enemies, #19 ... they end up number #17 and #15 ... so I'm consistently getting jumped by morons who don't want to win, but will throw their tanks away and any opportunity to win, by immediately attacking.

Down 75k credits on seven of eight battles < than #15.

Trash mode is trash ... making me uber hate world of tanks (even more), so thanks for that war gaming.

LT-432...the Russian solution when EBRs are off the rails in a match.

Here's another vote for FL >> SH, especially after the changes WG just made to make SH more of a grind and require placing in the top 5 a few times to rank out.

How do you lose credits in Steel Hunter?  I haven't seen that happen yet.

IKR ... pitiful and I don't feel there is anything I could have done or do about it ... it's 100% driven by spawn and getting jumped by three or more enemies within the first 30 seconds.

battle #9 ... jumped and destroyed 25 seconds in ... another 10 credits negative.

Well, technically if you finish in the bottom of the match, you make something like 15k credits, but there is a hidden 20k in repair costs that are deducted for the tank.  It's pretty sneaky of them, where in FL you get a full battle report that clearly shows your repair costs.

Yeah, I think 10th or better turns a small profit, below 10th is a loss of credits. At least, that's been my experience so far. This mode ain't a credit boon.

So glad I just needed on more token last episode. No desire to play the mode anymore and I can chill a bit an take a much needed break from the game.

Same here.  Even though I was mediocre (at best) I enjoyed playing Frontline (FL) and managed to get 9 tokens towards a reward tank.  Figured I'd get the remaining three (of the 12 needed) in Steel Hunter (SH).   Hated SH part 1 so much I was ready to write off any chance of making it to 12 tokens.  Well, I managed to get two more tokens, I need just one more.  I should get it this go 'round, even with the increased requirements to gain points and levels.  Once that's accomplished, I'm so done with this mode.  It's not fun.  At all.  Without the "carrot" of a reward tank I wouldn't even be playing it.

Another moron immediately attacks ... then another joins in so we're all three in the bottom five ... all lose credits.  I can't get away from the imbeciles.

Ten battles, nine lower than bottom five 100% driven by spawn RNG.  Down 95k credits.

I never even noticed that.  So throwing in low credit earnings and a possibility of losing credits for a non-premium gimmick tank.

I'm clinging to the possibility that unused tokens can be redeemed for gold and bonds again.

The more people stop playing these modes that are not compatible for most players maybe WG will change - I loved Frontlines but hated SH just not for me....lol

Same here. Always enjoy FL, but after just a couple of battles in SH that was it for me. Thankfully I already got the reward tank I wanted from just playing FL.

Yeah, I just decided no SH for me.  Oh well, I got a nice tier 9 from Frontline...
