Participation trophies are not given out in FL in any way, shape or form. If you defend at the right time and let them cap at the right time you put more time on the clock. This allows you to rank up, make more bank, grind crews and tech tree tiers 8s on maps that are light years better than the majority of turd maps you see in randoms.
Ive seen too many voice their need “to win to defend my honor” ...please...It never was about winning and never will be.

This is so correct and it can be a gold mine if done right.

How do you lose credits in Steel Hunter?  I haven't seen that happen yet.

at least in the first session you actually didn't see the cost of repairs in the steel hunter after battle report.  if you watched your overall credit before and after one could often see a credit loss if you got jumped early.

I too prefer front lines, and since they took away the additional battle consumables that LTs used to have, I just switched over to the Bourrasque.  Most of the view range, camo and mobility of a LT, and that spotter plane coupled with engineering = ez rank/credits

another HUGE/OBVIOUS reason to prefer frontline of SHunter is that frontline allows you to grind out stock tanks if you choose, as well as work on existing crews.

I'm not even really playing the game right now other than CW's a couple of times per week, but I'd play Frontline almost non stop if it was available compared to the meta/repetition of garbage small, funnel and half and half maps that dominate random battles.

So are we ever going to see it again or not?

Frontlines can go south quickly if your T8 roster is composed of mostly slow and poor camo (i.e. heavy) tanks. You will miss the battle and won't be earning much points nor have much means to earn it out of fighting.

...but I'd take Frontlines any day because it isn't totally disconnected from the main game like Steel Hunters and it gets to nerve less quickly with respawns...

There is little reason to play Steel Hunters outside of tokens (which come with bonds and some extra lump sums of silver).

Frontlines was great fun.  I loved it.  I'd like to see them add some new maps to the FL rotation.  We have summer and winter...Now they need a desert map.

Yes,  add FL maps!:great::medal:   WG, please stop promoting Steel Hunter at the expense of Frontline.

Well, then you have an incentive to grind new lines of tanks.

Oh so true but you missed one item - the goal post move much like the grind but with more distaste rather than 5 points you needed last time to get to a new level it will be 10 or 15 - very honestly tired of WG marketing and their antics. Make a decent game the average player will enjoy while not loathing to play and they will spend the cash you desperately need.

I wonder if the last 2 stages of SH, they'll offer boosters or something to get through the grind less painfully, now that we're feeling the effects of the new point system and mission requirements for SH.  Remember the Frontline boosters?

I love hovering over the map watching my team lose for 5 minutes after trying to defend a zone while my teammates farmed cause winning is meaningless. Gotta love the participation trophy of a game mode called Frontline.

Socialist game modes brought to you by socialist company.

Yup agreed. Steel Hunter is like Mario Bros in tanks and clown cars..WG needs to figure out how to alternate each month to get FL in through the year. But I am losing confidence in their ability to make this game right.

I have two of the three reward tanks and I'm only playing for the last tank otherwise I wouldn't give this POS mode the time of day.

True but any loss of credits due to early death is more than compensated when you reach a different stage and get the one time credits payouts.

I wish they would have alternated FL and SH instead of having each one for 4 consecutive months.

Yeah, and they haven't even mentioned when FL is coming back at all...maybe in 2021, but I guess we'll know soon when they start revealing their plans for the new year.

If Frontline was a separate game, I’d be playing it instead of WOT. I think WOT is concerned about its popularity and how much many of the players prefer it over random battles, and is thus trying to de-emphasize the mode. Maybe if they can figure out how to monetize  it without totally screwing it up we will see more of it.

Compared to being able to play every tank type, tech tree and premium, on much larger and better maps, work on grinding new tanks, try different strategies and tactics, Steel Hunter pales in comparison. I for one don’t care to waste my time playing fantasy tanks that are not in the regular game in a mode that is, for the most part, just not fun.

I played some Steel Hunter last month, but that just confirmed my dislike of the mode that I had from last year. With the current changes I’m not going to waste my time going forward. When I want to play fantasy modes like this, I prefer Blitz, where the special modes are at least fun, sometimes hilariously so as in gravity mode, and you can make plenty of credits.

More Frontlines please, and less emphasis on modes like SH that appear to have been designed by a demented Dr. Strangelove team.

understood.  if you can stand it long enough to get to that stage :)

I don't want the 777 bad enough to keep playing a battle royale mode.  Whereas I liked the larger, more open maps it just remind me that I'm stuck with trash maps most of the time in random battles.

I'm perfectly fine if anyone objectively likes this mode, but after the grind changes this iteration I called it a hard pass

It's no fun when you get jumped almost instantly by one or more enemies five seconds after the countdown ends, and having to dodge all the cancerous Harbingers, Arlequins, and Ravens with their haha dpm go brrr stale meta to have a hope to get to Top 5

The teaming makes this mode nearly unplayable. I can't go more than 1 battle without seeing 2-3 tanks rolling in a group wrecking everyone.

Player polling shows an overwhelming preference for Frontline.  I wonder if WG will pay heed?
