My 6th sense doesn't go off sometimes. Does anyone know why?

There's a 3 second delay from the time you're spotted until the notification. If you die in that time, you don't get the notification.

Or you were perma-lit.  If an unobserved scout had you lit the whole time, your 6th Sense would go off once and you might think you'd gone dark but didn't.

Or you were hit by a blind-shot. It's common (and smart) to shoot at popular locations instead of always waiting to spot a tank.

Or Just buy it flowers. Tell it you are sorry you never listen to it. Then resolve to treat it better.

Not enough foreplay?

This....and how many shots does Skill fire blind? Like almost 20% of his shots, or somethin'. He's always blind firing.

Sixth Sense is, and always has been, a completely useless skill because of the 3 second delay.

1.  As it should be, it’s ridiculous to think your Commander can “sense” when he’s being observed.
2.  I bet all your crews have it or use the directive.

Yes, other tanks games, it goes off almost instantly and you don't lose vision of the object spotted either.  So yes, there is something inherently flawed with the coding, in this game.

Then you obviously don't know how to use it properly.

Absolutely incorrect. SS is one of the most important skills of a commander unless you are a heavy.  I'm killed much more often in a tank without it than with it. That is why I never play a TD or medium without it anymore.

OP as often a TD player it is not uncommon to be hit by tanks knowing where they are going to be when sitting behind bushes. I've blind shot often myself and hit tanks.

WOW !  You really have no idea how to use 6th sense effectively despite the 3 second delay, do you ??

6th is the most important single perk/skill that I use. The fact there is a short delay definitely does NOT render it "useless" AT ALL.

It's NOT a "flaw"... it's a very well thought out & tested mechanic that has seen good use for 10 years. Making it instantaneous would also make it OP, requiring no thought or care to use it.

Like many things in WoT, when used INTELLIGENTLY, it's great. When baddies use it, bad results happen.
