There are 3 types of Fire Extinguishers setups you can have on your tank;

1: An Automatic Fire Extinguisher.

2: A Manual Fire Extinguisher

3: No Extinguisher

My question is how does the Fire Extinguisher skill affect these 3 setups?

Here is my guess;

1: It might make the Automatic Fire Extinguisher go off a little faster.

2: Not sure.

3: In this instance, Fire Fighting is most useful.

And of course if your Fire Extinguishers is on cool down, that's when Fire Fighting is the only way to put out the fire quicker.

Does anyone have more information?

TY in advance for your ideas.

As far as I know, after using the prem repair kit once, all modules become more resistant to damage for the match, prem first aid kit is the same thing with crew, and prem extinguisher reduces the change of another fire. Fire Fighting makes the fire go out more quickly. So the prem fire extinguisher's secondary effect and Fire Fighting indirectly work together, kind of like vert stabs and optics

The FF skills puts the fire out faster and reduces the damage a fire does per tick but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have any effect on fire extinguishers. The premium extinguisher works automatically and has a passive 10% bonus to prevent a fire whether you use it or not same as the premium med kit and repair kit..

When in doubt, always check the World of Tanks Wiki page;  https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Consumables

all i know for SURE is that having AFE and a full fire-skilled crew is EXTREMELY nice. i have sometimes heard "fireout" TWICE back-to-back in a match..."fire out...fire out" which means a VERY nasty fire was put out in time to save me...fire was still flaring up after first "fire out" then the second part kicked in. its RARE that i have heard that and LIVED!

"Fire out"?  I've never, ever heard that in five years and over 71,000 +battles, but I don't use mods.  I am guessing you are?

If you have any sort of extinguisher mounted, firefighting only really benefits you when they're on cooldown (and by slightly reducing damage while you reach for the manual extinguisher button).  Auto-extinguisher always goes off instantly, meaning you take one tick of fire damage (which can potentially kill you, wasting your credits, but this isn't too common).

Sounds good. I think you have made it clear. The point is I have played so long i am finally getting crews with 6 skills and at least I know fire fighting has some use.
