How often do good players platoon with tomatos?

I have read various forms of this comment many times, but don't see it happening in-game.

Bads platoon with bads.

It isn't even the 'bads' idea sometimes.  I have some people on my friend's list that are...well...pretty bad.  When we toon they will drop out because they feel they aren't pulling their weight or shouldn't be there etc.

I DON'T CARE!!!

I toon with people I like tooning with.  It can be frustrating when they just drop because of this.

{How you doing Ed?  ;)  }

A tomato can inflate their win rate by platooning with good players. It's not that great of a metric.

If they do that, then they deserve the win.  The only time people really whine about the win rate stat is when its sucks.  Those people with high win rates, however they managed to get them, I'm willing to just take it with good faith.

You can manipulate the game to get higher win rates, but its not free, you still gotta work it.  Just platooning with a good player does not automatically give you a win.  Just playing a lower tier, does not automatically give you a win.

Conversely having a poor win rate is just that, a poor win rate.  You can't use the excuse that you manipulated it downwards.  It's low because its YOUR responsibility.

I would seriously consider sleeping with a guy that could allow me to drive a tank IRL over open country.  If I could shoot the weapon with really ammo I might not even be joking about that ;)

I was seriously considering joining the Army after graduation but, recently, my life has turned in a somewhat different direction...though a little related...Law Enforcement.

There are a few places in Texas that let civilians shoot & scoot in some tanks.  It'll cost a bit of coin though.

I wonder if several of us got together and fought with actual tactics and Actions-on-contact.

If they win by being able to be in a good platoon then they still win, right?

I love how social skills are considered 'cheating'.  I can understand it...it is a skill that many here do not have or even wish to have so they consider it cheating/manipulating to downplay it.  However, it is still a valuable skill just like any other skill in this game and, by your own admission, important.

I would rather have the 400WN8/60% winrate guy show up on my team then the 2000 WN8  47% win rate guy.  The second guy is a loser and the first a winner.  Seriously!  What good is a 2000 WN8 player if he loses so much?  The 2000WN8 is fake because if he was really that good and reliable, as you say, then he would actually have an impact on the team winning.  Instead...he just...doesn't really impact the game.  That is not a good player.

I think what you are saying...is that something other than winning is how you play the game and, therefore, value skills other than winning.  If true, then that is bizarre to me.  Isn't the POINT of PvP to win?  To use Football analogy again...is the Quarterback that usually wins over his long career less skilled than a QB that usually loses over his long career because the losing Quarterback has better stats other than winning one?  Bizarre if true.

Sure.  Except when compared to other players who AREN'T in a platoon.  Thus the win rates can't be compared.  Bizarre?  No, just common sense.
