In a small bot game just now, Himmelsdorf, me in my piddly SU-26 against a BT-7, all things being equal as bots don't count. 1 human arty vs 1 human arty is fair; 1 human tank vs 1 human TD might work out; 1 human arty vs a tank or TD is unfair. This has to be the silliest thing going in the matchmaking department presently and I am seriously sick of it.

Stop playing artillery that aren't even in the tech tree at 5 am on the SA server. If you play tech tree artillery (tier 5 and up) during regular hours (about 2pm-midnight), you won't have this problem at all, because this is meant to be a PvP game.

He is talking about PvP but 1 on 1 PvP.  SA server at tier 5 in the early hours is WoT at its best to be honest.  The primary problem with WoT is it isn't PvP, it is 15p on 15p.  When you enter that random battle and you see that glass cannon sniping TD roll up to the front like it is an E100 and you realize how little control you have over your own destiny in this game.  Or maybe you hit the battle button and it is one of the 4 in every 5 battles where some arm chair general is berating all teammates for not doing exactly what he says.  I could give more examples but you get my point, the forced team dynamic of this game NOT an assett.  Playing 1v1 or 2v2 or 3v3 on SA server with bots rounding out the team is exceptional fun compared to run of the mill WoT battles.  If I could get those circumstances on NA server at all tiers I would likely be playing 2 to 3 times as long per day and I would probably be dropping an extra $30-50 a month on it too.

IMO, these are the best types of situations....especially with bots 'spotting' for you.

First off, the bots spot for you, so you can learn to focus on a single player (in the event you want to later 'XVM snipe' players in higher tier matches).

Second, when the bots have been eliminated, the 1v1 is great training on being able to 'shotgun' enemy tanks. This is important as you move up in tiers and end up in games with 'bot-like' actual players. Your team will quickly fail, leaving you to fend for yourself. The training you learned now comes into play as you know the enemy will be looking for you. Maybe, with the training, you'll now be good enough to take out 2, maybe even 3, enemies before they get you.

It isn't about clubbing bots and newbs.  It is about actual PvP not 15P vs 15P.    You get plenty of battles against experienced players on SA server, you also get rid most teammates which is the real objective in my mind.   Tell me you don't walk away from most battles thinking  how many absolute jerks play this game has.  From bossy blowhards to YOLOers to campers to  scouts that want to be TDs, sniping TDs that think they are pathbreaking TDs and heavies that think they are snipers.... TEAMS SUCK!  I cannot control what others do nor do I want to. I want to play MY game and the only way I can do that without 14 other players getting in the way is on SA server at tier 5 or less.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but read what he actually wrote. I wasn't suggesting higher or even mid teir matches on SA or anything but low tier matches on the SA server. 

 

Cause OP said "small bot game".

Which is describing both bots and small queue size.  Further corroborated by his repeated claim of "one human vs. one human" meaning the rest of the team(s) were bots.  Not to mention that both tanks he mentions are low tier.  All indicative of SA low tier matches which are usually small team size heavy-sided PvE games.  NOT 15 vs. 15 PVP games.

 

Either way I added a "disclaimer" to my post to avoid confusion.

WoT was designed to be a team game. If you really think “teams suck” & want to do away with human team mates, SA server at low tiers is an option.

 

For the OP - Just don’t play arty and expect good games.

 

Arty, being very team dependent, with bot spotters is dicey. Bots are...well, Bots! They follow their programing that may or may not do what you want. They’ll charge right up to the corner of a building with red tank right around the corner then turn around and runaway without spotting anything or being spotted. Other times, they will charge into a sea of red tanks and die without firing a shot. 

 

On the upside, I have yet to have a bot chase me to the garage & say mean things to me.

They need to give the SU-26 back it's 122mm they took away because of nerfers.
