Everyone will say "ohh just improve your skills" - and my skills need A LOT of improvement. I know this.

 

I'm a 44% player but today I was a 12% win player.  That's more than a skill problem.  And with matching like I pasted in I'll never get any better.  On my side there were two players worse than my 44%  and only one 50 and one 51. The other side had a 57, two 55, a 52, and a 51.  A person with an IQ in the single digits could have made a more even match up than this.

 

And this was one of my so-called "better" matches of the day.  Had at least three where the other team had three 50+ and one 60+. And had four games very similar to the one I posted above.

 

This is just BS. WOT turns me to cannon fodder so some folks will have easy pic-ken's while I'll try to get better by spending more money.

 

Think of this s**t this way, how much would a  high school football improve after playing a game with an NFL team. The score would be like 56-3 and if the high school team lived through the game, they wouldn't have learned a damn thing.   Think any lesser-skilled players learn anything new with these kind of match-ups in WOT?  Well they don't.

 

I need to reevaluate this game for me, it's a great concept and fun to play at times, but this sucks beyond the pale.  I accept my 44% at this point, but I don't accept 12%.  I'm not that bad, and this is the second day in a row for me with these results.  Just pi** on it.

The game has a big learning curve. I am sure you could find a few of the better players to platoon with and learn the game better. Maybe even find a decent clan to run with.Don't give up and quit the game.

In a small sample size anything can happen.

 

Funny though, I can't recall anyone ever coming on here and complaining that the game is broken because they won too much in the last day or two.

I played 10 games today. 8 losses, 2 wins. 20% WR. We all get those bad days, everyone. Best to just take a step back and do something else for awhile.

There are 'make-it-happen' tanks, and then there's arty.  As an arty player, sometimes find myself needing to play regular tanks to get a win.  

There's only so much you're going to do as a support tank.  It's like going to a Casino and playing slots.  

 

Also, you're just a beginning player who is already closing in on 300 games at tier eight.  Slow down and smell the roses.

Some tanks I've really enjoyed like the Bishop which I could never seem to break 2,500 damage in, but came close many times.

You hit 36% win-rate and moved on as fast as possible to the FV304.  To me, that means you are completely wasting time. 

To be successful with the Bishop, you can play it different then other SPGs.  Like a lot of tanks you have to learn how to play

them.  Like the Matilda IV, it's got amazing gun depression.  If you're not playing peek-a-boo over hills and ducking back down,

then maybe you're doing it wrong.  Here's quite a few tanks I see in your garage where after a couple of dozen battles was in the same 

place with them, went back to the drawing board, and carried on.  Like you said, need to learn.  Don't hesitate to play some lower

tiers.

 

Perhaps trying playing with some better players who are willing to offer advice.

You need a break from XVM, it messes with your head, ditch it and start to learn.

uninstall xvm, it will make your life easier.

Not going to lie, XVM is not for everyone.  Only a few of us know how to use and not abuse it.  The main point of this game is to have fun though.

This is a telling quote from your post "I accept my 44% at this point, but I don't accept 12%" First for all, based on your stats you are terrible. Now that we have that out of the way...listen to the comments above like moon111.

 

You seem to be very early on in the game where everything is "run and gun" and then hope for the best. We have all been there, but it comes down to a lot more than that. Just come in here, explain your issues and ask for advice (not everybody here is a [edited]) without ranting about how "unfair" or "rigged" the game might be.

 

It happens, but the bigger issue is to learn and raise that 44% so that when a 12% day happens (and it does to all of us) it's not a big deal.

I played 2 Random Battles solo this morning... won them both... so I'm 100% win rate for today. But that doesn't mean I'm a 100% win rate player, nor does it mean I'm graced with lucky MM... it doesn't mean ANYTHING... because it was just 2 battles.

 

Tiny sample size is tiny.

 

OP, your large sample size says you are a 44% win rate player... that means you have a lot to learn, not that you are getting ripped off by MM... we ALL get the same MM over a large sample size. The only difference is what we each bring to every one of our own battles.

If you send me a friend request I can try to help you the next time I'm on. Im far from good but we can start with the basics. I was stuck at a 46% win rate up to 8k battles and finally started catching on and studying .

I see another new player that started out so upbeat and positive...

 

    .... and then installed XVM. Seriously... uninstall that garbage. It literally has no use the average player except maybe being able to tell the salty 41% player on their team where they can shove their opinion during the battle.

 

A quick peek at your stats, OP, and I agree with the previous statements... you are advancing up the tiers much too quickly. If you are playing Tiers 6-8 with stock tanks, no equipment, and bad crews you are gonna get wrecked.... plain and simple. I'm not sure what tiers you were playing for your 12% winrate... but if you are averaging less than a shot of damage per battle then it may not be "all your fault".... but you are certainly making a contribution.

lose the XVM, play less arty and drop a few tiers and you will learn more an enjoy the game more in the long run.

When I first started playing this game I had an absolute blast. I looked forward to getting off work and playing for several hours after my shift. I really enjoy the heck out of the game. At tier 8 or so I had a conversation with someone who played the game like their life depended on it. In an after battle communication they politely (yes politely no vitriol in our conversation) pointed out that I sucked and needed to go back to MUCH lower tiers and learn how to play. I always did my best but I was a detriment to my team. I was playing at a tier that was WAY above my ability and understanding of the game. I gave what they told me some thought and decided that I could at least try and play better. I ended up doing what they recommended, watch videos ask questions of streamers ect. You know I got up to 49.93% and discovered something. I was getting better but I was not having fun. I had taken something I was really enjoying and turned it into a job. A job that I was not getting paid for. It got to the point for me that I dreaded logging in and making myself play. I went from playing everyday after work for several hours and on weekends spending a ton of time playing to loathing the thought of clicking on the play button and now I rarely play ever. I have tons of tanks in garage and have spent a lot of money on the game over the years and find myself everyone once in the while yearning for the enjoyment I used to find with this game. 

 For what it is worth, don't do that to yourself. Play the game and keep it enjoyable, don't play to troll your team I.E. block other players, get in their way intentionally ect. Play the way you have fun, this is something I am trying to rediscover with WoT.

If you're actually a new player and not a failed reroll account, stop playing so much arty. Over a third of your games are in a class that will never teach you anything about the normal game besides what angle an arty can hit you from. You would learn that playing normal tanks anyways after a while. You don't learn armor, angles or guns while playing with the satellite view hitting tanks with HE. You are using it as a crutch and it is only going to get worse the more battles you play because every time you try to venture into other tank classes you will get smacked, get frustrated and go straight back to arty sitting at the back of the map. 

 

My advice, ditch the arty for at least your next 7k battles. Even if you're getting wrecked don't go back to it as a safety blanket. Then see if you are still rocking a 44% overall win rate.

As some of the other posters in here have stated, uninstall xvm and stop worrying about your stats. Plenty of time for that later. Just focus on getting better at the game. Playing with and against better players is not a bad thing, as some think it is. Watch them and learn from them. Over time you to will develop your own play style as they did. And your stats will reflect it.

Your failure is simple, you rushed up the tiers without learning to play first.

 

What you should do:

 

1) Grab some good youtube tutorials.  One that was particularly enlightening to me was this one from QuickyBaby's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dp_JfxraJ8&t=6s).  It isn't a "how to play" guide but it covers very critical vision concepts very well while talking about credit makers.  There should be others just as good or better.

 

2) Go back to basics, like the low tiers, and learn to apply those techniques without the pressure from being demolished in 3 minutes.  Better yet, do it on the SA server where matchmaker should protect you somewhat from high skilled players.

 

3) Focus on a couple of tanks and once you learn to play those tanks well (according to those tanks stats) only then move up to the next tier.

 

4) Learn the importance of crew skills - if you have not learned yet - and make sure to always get sixth sense as your first skill.  Those alerts not only protect you from enemies, they teach you when you do something dumb that exposes you.  Oh, and do learn how to use cover effectively.

 Stay in tier 4 to 6 and practice ...you'll definitely get better and once you do reroll.. Do what George does and buy a few premiums like the type 64 and Churchill III do thousands of battles spanking noobs and walla you're over 50% get a nice purple sig tag and your in the club....WG will start stacking you with other 50+%ers....easy peasy

 

Just kidding ....The game gets frustrating ...the grinds suck....I leave all the time and come back thus fairly low battle count... I have upper tier tanks with bad stats from running up to fast and getting crushed over and over. Once I slowed down and started to learn the game I started doing better....I just started playing 9 and 10 again recently...

Now I play a few lower tier tanks to get the daily on crews and tier 8 to make silver so I can spam gold in 10 ...9 and 10 are fun.... When it starts turning suck I just leave and go play other games....just started World of warships for lols ....

Stay in lower tiers until you start finishing in the top 5 most games then move up slowly ...
