Which, honestly, only delays the inevitable unless your team is more patient and better at vision.
A fast push actually does more to reduce arty's effectiveness as a whole, but of course requires, well, a push. Not easy to do without better tools to coordinate with your team, though sometimes a 3 tank toon is enough.
Rushing to strong defensive, but forward, places to sit and peek-a-boom with people gives arty relatively static targets that are near constantly lit. I realize this is the current WoT meta, at least when arty isn't disrupting it. Then again, this is the type of "camping" most likely meant on the original, infamous "arty prevents camping" statement.
I guess that just goes to show how much WG suffers from right hand not knowing what the left is doing...

Yup,arty counters strong positions and discourages what's usually considered active, front line fighting here. You can try to mitigate, but those spots are specifically not arty safe, and it irks me when peeps say, "lol, just be arty safe, bro", it's not designed that way

Well, good news. Wargaming has nerfed the wheeled vehicles (I would argue not enough, but it is a nerf in the right direction). Wargaming is going to start testing artillery changes on the Sandbox test server in late February, early March 2021.
Granted, on the matchmaker, Wargaming has not really made significant changes recently, and it does not seem they will make changes in the near future. And honestly, I cannot blame them at all. I always hear people saying "matchmaker is rigged!", "fix the matchmaker!", "matchmaker sucks!". Most people say the issues are related to blowouts, but maybe there are some other issues that I have not heard. People don't usually say specific what is wrong with the matchmaker, much less how to fix the matchmaker. When you all say "fix the matchmaker!", what exactly are you asking for?

So ... kinda new to WG, are we? How are you liking your first week playing?
If crew 2 is anything like the system implemented in World of Warships, I don't really have anything against it, but neither do i see any benefit!.Simply a change for change sake and NOT an improvement!
And whose idea anyway?. Certainly doesn't seem to come from the player-base judging from the host of negative comments one reads on the forums!....
I wonder what the Russians have to say about it?
