Good Morning Tankers, 


The Common Test for update 1.11.1 is rolling out!

 

 

This update will be bringing several major additions and changes to the game: 
 

  • Italian Heavy Tanks 
  • Platoon 2.0
  • Interface improvements

 

New researchable vehicles in the Italian Heavy Line
 

Carro d'assalto P.88


 

Progetto CC55 Mod.54

 

 

Progetto C50 Mod.66

 

 

Rinoceronte

 

 

The Italian heavy tank branch will split off from the tech tree immediately after the P.43 bis

 

 

The new sub-branch opens with the Carro d'assalto P.88. This Tier VII assault vehicle is a transitional step from medium to heavy tanks, and its gameplay resembles that of medium machines. You can also research the Progetto CC55 mod. 54 (a Tier VIII tank), the Progetto C50 mod. 66 (a Tier IX tank), and the mighty Rinoceronte, the crowning vehicle of the entire sub-branch. The Tier VIII–X tanks will have four (4) crew members; the Rinoceronte crew will consist of three (3) tankers.

I believe the pictures for the tier 8 and tier 9 are incorrect and should be switched, unless changes were made

Wait, upon watching the video, the picture of the tier 7 is at tier 9, the picture of the tier 8 is at tier 7, and the picture of the tier 9 is at tier 8

I think that the CT link to download it whit the Game Center is broken, the link lead to nowhere, any idea why?

The 50 meter proximity circle is one of the only two “mods” I’d ever want, so that’s awesome. Hopefully they’ll eventually add the ability to switch the reticle/markers to white, and I’d be set.

 

I wish the repair kit would auto assign to the module when you only have one damaged module. Not having to fumble for the second key could make all the difference in the world for me.

 

I have no interest in playing heavies, but those look awesome.

How long until Wargaming enables in-game communication for teams and not just for platoons? You could even limit it to tanks within 100m of yourself, and have a seperate button for the entire team. Heck, disable voice chat for dead tanks so they can't yell at friendlies.

 

This is a team game and many modern games have features like this. Wargaming get with the times and bring some more quality of life improvements. Love the platoon idea, good idea, really think it will help new players to find new friends. This is what we need to keep the game going. Make it easier to have fun and communicate.

This game, while called a team based game, actually isn't a team based game and is more of a free for all and it's everyone for themselves, most of the time.

I find the part about platooning, sort of interesting.  If it is implemented as I suspect it will be, it will almost entirely nullify and void the need to every really join a clan and I see your friends list also becoming something of an antique, if you can just select people from a tab/list of on line players.  The only real change(s) I would like to see would be: 1) The ability to invite 4 or 5 players.

2) A tiered spread of -1 and +1  instead of being locked down to a specific tier as this will more accurately emulate a battle and will most likely speed up getting into said battle(s).  Other than that, if you not going to fix known game issues, this patch is another worthless excise in your efforts to keep spewing useless pablum to the player base to keep them fat, dumb, and pacified.

the whole Italian line reload times are seriously stupid.. , giving the tier 10 as an example 17.9 seconds to load that first shell ( third ) you can even make use of swapping ammo types , by the time you do the enemy can put 2-3 shells into you , and if u fire before you load that second so approx. 35 seconds later... youre dead.. , and the Italian heavies were suppose to be "fast", e5 is faster.. engine power is seriously lacking in the line that and the hidden stats of ground resistance. overall they look pretty , hit nice , armour is nice , just the reload timers need a tweak and engine power/ground resistance.

Yes, I am having the same issue. I had did a clean install of the game and client after 1.11, but not the CT. Now I can't seem to download it.

i played the italian heavies and in my opinion (this is coming from a medium player) it needs a speed up but other than that i really like the tank

Cool new tanks. But, more importantly, ARE WE GOING TO BE ABLE TO TURN OFF AND NOT SEE THE OTHER PLAYER'S DOG TAGS??!?!

(Turn them off without having to use mods.)

  I guess WG has never heard of the "Cadillac Theory". If it isn't broken .... don't fix it. It seems they (WG) come out with a new patch every 30 days (or at least it seems that way).... usually to promote and push the "latest and greatest tank" or the latest "idea of the month" that can now be purchased or utilized. I realize that WG has to make money ..... but the way they go about it makes it seem that if they don't sell something new (really fast) .... they're on the brink of a "Chapter 11". Too bad they don't listen to the players that are asking for simple things .... like remembering the server you were on, or turning off the stupid dog tags or having the "+1/-1" matchmaking. I have also found that if whatever changes WG will do isn't usually in the interest of the player(s), it's more in the interest of whether WG makes more money from it ..... and for the most part it that is the only motivating driver.

My 2 cents of the new heavy line.  Its meh.  After 10 games in the tier 10 I can say that the DPM is bad and that the armor almost never works.  Main problem with the armor is the box that sits on top of the gun has less than 200 usable thickness and because it moves with the gun its a very easy to hit weak point.  The rest of the turret only has armor if its at max gun deppresion and even then can be penned by most premium rounds.  This tank need both a DPM buff and a change to the armor model.  The new "autoreloader" mechanic is just plain unneeded, not once in any of the test server games or the games with my Bisonte C45 has it made a difference.  It would be better just to use the same mechanics as the IS-3A.  The rest of the update seems solid and I really like the 50m proxy spot view ring.
