Mechwarrior Online has the best system I think, it randomly selects 3 maps and 3 game modes which all players in the match then choose from.
The winning map and mode is used and if you didn't get the one you wanted, you get a multiplier on to your next games choice so that everyone eventually gets to play the map/mode they want.

we need to be able to block more than two maps at a time...as there are more than two horrible maps in game.

They should just copy MechWarrior's system outright. It's a really smooth system that keeps people playing because sooner or later you will get what you want, and you know you'll get it.

i thought that Sheriffs version was inadvertent? and will not happen again? when i did my stint ,it was the first time such an option was available.so of course i played my LTs and ONLY picked Prohk.
i seem to recall that it was later stated to be disabled in future Sheriffs acct? can anyone chime in who has first-hand knowledge of recent Sheriff/map-picking option?

The accounts they give away it was a accident CCs get to pick maps to assist them in making content

Maybe if WG fixed actual maps instead of ruining old ones and turning them into corridors of death.
Malinovka needs a whole bunch of houses added on the hill so that Heavies dont fear artillery like the plague.
Look at Lakeville, the city seems safe but arty can still hit you between the buildings, and those are tall solid buildings. Hill on Mali is basically a death zone, are you really going to blame Type 5 not wanting to climb the hill with 3 arties?
Prokh also needs a path with some cover where heavies can push. Make it similar to steppes, not that steppes is anything great but at least I dont see heavy tanks hugging the red line on steppes in fear of getting clubbered by tds and arties.
