Howdy Boom Jockeys!

The Chinese Tier X tank destroyer 114 SP2 will soon be joining the Supertest.

The first thing that is worth mentioning here is the vehicle's relatively weak armor. Even its frontal armor plates don't get thicker than 135 mm. The vehicle has a specific power of 15.6 h.p./t which enables it to reach speeds of up to 45 km/h. Total HP: 2,000.

This tank destroyer comes equipped with a 152 mm gun fitted in a 360-degree revolving turret and boasts 650 HP of single-shot damage, while armor penetration by the standard armor-piercing and special APCR shells is 273 and 329 mm, respectively. Besides, the vehicle features an aiming time of 2.3 s, an accuracy of 0.35, and a reload speed of 16.6 s.

For such a large machine, the 114 SP2 presents a nice combination of good mobility and high firepower. Just keep in mind that you can always compensate for the weak, vulnerable armor by resorting to positional combat.

Let me guess:  Assuming this vehicle actually existed and wasn't made up by the Chinese server crew, I'm guessing it started off life as a SPG and not a Tank Destroyer.  The oversized turret, weak armor, and large gun lead me to this conclusion.

It looks like it's not even as good as a T30 in Tier 9... fires a little faster but 100 less alpha so DPM is 2349 vs T30 2235. Slightly higher pen, but horrible armor and a giant target, and doesn't get to see Tier 7s.

For some reason the turret armor isn't listed?

As for the hull, many (most?) Tier X guns will be able to pen it with HE. EBRs (and Death Stars/4005s) will murder this thing!

Looks interesting. There are do few TDs with fully traversable turrets at tier 10. Armor could be bumped up a bit... 75 is far too low, making it 3x overmatch about to everything that it will see... its doesnt need to be dumb... but like 277 or T-10 levels of hull armor would probably be appropriate.

So this thing is basically a worse Obj 268 v5? I don't see the point of it

Turret armor is 135/75/50

Eh, while the gun is arguably worse it does have more gun depression and a better reload over the 268-5 and APCR over HEAT and a better aim time. It also appears to be more agile (with both a higher power to weight and better hull traverse). The hul armor is the big problem here.

I wouldn't mind the thin armor if the mobility and gun handling were a little better.

I mean for a tier 10 TD? Its mobility and agility seems pretty good based on the stats card and the only gun handling we really know is the aim time, which at 2.3 seconds is also pretty good.

Matter of perspective. Seems like this thing could be described as either a less-interesting E4, or a less-interesting Grille 15. Middle-ground stats between these two aren't necessarily bad, just disinteresting.

Seems way more interesting to me than either of those two tanks. The E4 is just a worse E100 and the Grille is a standard campy nonsense camo TD... but this one seems way more mobile than the E4, with a gun that looks better than the Grilles and a full turret rather than the 180 degree one of the E4 or the 45 degree one of the Grille.
