Hi!

I trained myself to ride a bicycle, then trained in a stick shift truck, and trained in a Crusader Artillery vehicle... I've never forgotten how to ride a bike or anything else!  Why do our crews forget how to operate vehicles we train them in???

The crew that you "train" in a current tank... they should "remember" how to play in that tank even after you train them in another tank!  Makes no sense that the crew forgets how to operate a tank you trained them in!!!! wth, World of Tanks!  People have memories!

If I could forget things, in real life, I would gladly do it!   But I can't!  I remember things forever and so should the crews!

Best Regards,

I_AM_Lucifer

Overall, still doesn't make sense!   Why have a crew if they can't remember anything???   They want money... I give that to them yearly by buying lots of boxes!

Always been that way, and I have always wondered the same thing. If you learn to drive a semi truck, you don't forget how to drive your car. But yeah, another money grab.

My question is, are you moving your crew from the original tank to another tank of the same tier?  If so, don't need to train them for the new tank if they will be put back in the original tank.

This is one of the things they're fixing in Crew 2.0, allegedly. A crew can be trained for 3 tanks at once.

Oh that's better than the current system where they completely forget everything they've learned!  (Edit: I'll be looking forward to that!)

I have trouble believing you remember things forever.

Is that 3 tech tree tanks or just 3 tanks in total?  If it is 3 tech tree tanks plus premium tanks then that will be a welcome change.

Part of the draw of prem tanks is that they don't need a crew to be trained for the premium... So I would assume that it's 3 tech tree tanks.

Don't get too excited: there'll be a fee in gold for additional tanks.

Because when they designed the computer programming for the crew in the game, they did not make space to store the "tanks assigned/trained" information to the saved/stored for future reference.

It's a (short sighted) data thing.

Let me ask you: Does most anything War Gaming does make any real sense, especially the last few years?  Wait for it: NOPE

Almost all other games have tech trees or unlockable upgrades, but none of the competitive/actual money making league fps games have crews/sub-skills as well.

You might have a class or character, but that's it - not like you have to learn how to hit faster - 5 levels worth, and 5 levels of dodge, per character.  It's a main reason WoT never makes the big leagues, literally.
Get rid of crews entirely and wrap those skills into the tanks and it would even out the playing field considerably.

As an example, if you play League of Legends, imagine buying Poppy.  I like Poppy.  Poppy is great and tanky.  Now imagine if she had a personal skill level tree as well.
Imagine your first 30 games where you move slower, hit weaker, dodge slower, and your cooldown speed is half as fast.
Nobody would play.  You expect to buy a character and then it comes down to equipment choices.  Yet this two layered skill barrier is what happens in tanks and we accept it as normal.

Crew 2.0 won't fix this.  Crews need to be removed entirely.

I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same about crew dying. If my crew member dies in battle, I just press a button and he comes back to life!!! I mean, how? Makes no sense. In real life, he would be dead forever. WG please leave crew members dead at least until the end of battle, if not forever. Maybe have them be dead forever, and we have to recruit (purchase with real money) a  new crew member or we can't drive that tank. I mean, that's how it is in real life...
