Well, again without warning that they were going to launch the update and the servers turned off, I enter the news and it marks an error. they should communicate the news better

launcher box says 9 AM Eastern for restart.

Why can't they install the update at 2:00 am EST ? Here is the answer to that question: The peeps in their mom's basements are still playing at that time!

Apparently they feel enough money is being made.

 

Why a simple statement announcing upcoming downtime with the assurance that all premium time will be credited back escapes WG's collective brain, despite repeated complaints on the Forum, suggest why interaction on the Forum has diminished.

Am I missing something here?

 

On the website it says 9AM ET restart. Is that not the information you need?

 

The website seemed to have been down for 60 seconds, I refreshed the page after having a coffee and it worked.

 

Is that what you are upset about?

after the update I am unable to connect to the game, and you can't help but think the update screwed up my computer, Oh no! So I wonder if the problem is on my computer or thiers and what should I do. Dissapointment because i had planned a couple hours to the game this morning.    Not a real big deal but a pain and emotional trauma lol.. So a heads up would have been nice. How long do we have to wait?  @Repic27....I guess it must be 9 am where you are then? It is 8:54 here now. Been waiting half hour already. Maybe thats why people get upset

Reppic27, the issue is facilitating communication so that your customer base is pleased/comfortable with your product.

 

How many players go to main website when they attempt play a game?

Receiving information that it is the users settings/connections is less than satisfactory.

As a long time participant, I went to the Forum, where, after some searching (a minute or so) I located the information on this thread.

 

The point is WG would be better served to make clear informative statements in multiple locations/platforms.

I note you passed over the issue of lost premium time.

 

Improvement of a game I enjoy is my goal in taking the time to post here.

Yes, and..... they did communicate that did they not?

 

On the main page, in latest news you read about the latest update. For a while now, they give out all the information about the update INCLUDING the downtime for said update. It's always towards the bottom, or at least it's been like that since I started caring to know.

 

So what is the problem? Is that folks don't have that information flashed in their faces? That the portal doesn't say server downtime? Which is it? 

 

Because to me the information presented is adequate. The ONLY thing I'd be willing to comment about is that you have to scroll down the page to find the downtime but alas that isn't the end of the world and I would write that off as acceptable communication.

 

To me it looks like a case of individuals who don't bother to take the time / effort to find the information. If it isn't spoon fed to him within 2 seconds, they are upset. This is my opinion and I could be wrong, because again I'm still having a hard time understanding what the issue is here.

 

EDIT: Yes I'm aware that page was down.. but like I said it was down for 60 seconds. Not the end of the world.
