After watching some streamers, and the crazy stuff they have been able to do with this broken iteration of Crew 2.0, this honestly looks like a simple cash grab and will only benefit the top players with lots of gold.

 

People finding ways to make artillery with super accurate and have silly rates of fire using the double medkit trick. For money.

 

Making tanks like the EBR have ridiculous amounts of camo, well beyond what they can do right now. For money.

 

Being able to take crews and stick them in a 2 crew tank and making several high level crews and simply moving them to a tank that requires 6 crew. For money.

 

Making hyper crews by simply throwing lots of free XP at crews.

 

These are just some of the crazy things people have been able to do.

 

This is even worse than the garbage idea of trying to turn HE shells into a shaped charge which would essentially ruin the game for 75% of the WoT population.

 

This has to be WG just taking the mick out of us, did no one at WG really test any of this before throwing it on the sandbox?

Edit - He stacked intuition on his FV405 and can switch between shells in about 1 second

Isn't everything a crash grab? If WG gave every player $100 it would be a crash grab.

I'm 59yrs old and work 50hrs a week.  I don't want to come home, load a new "sandbox server" and play tank crew simulator.  Who do you think spends the most money on the NA server, kids with no job or those of us with disposable income?

I don't want to waste my time tuning all my "new" crews for all of my tanks and tank lines... I just want to play.  This so far looks like a total turn off for me and after 10yrs in this game may just be the thing that finally pushes me away.

Um, that's a good thing, the skill was utterly useless as it was, this actually makes it useful. So if anyone wants it they're going to have to give up something else.

That sounds like a you issue and not an issue with the game, its fair enough you don't have time for it, real life is always more important than a game, but doesn't mean the changes are bad either, that's something still to be figured out.

 

As for the OP and the other poster... they obviously have time to watch a streamer... so they also have time to go try it for themselves, it takes less than 10 mins to figure it out and setup a couple of tanks.

 

Also if you don't want to min/max the crews, there is an 'easy button' built in, you can let the game pick the skills and you just distribute the points

Once this crap goes into effect and since I am not a gifted player, I will not be sinking any money into this un-needed change/player screwing.  I will only change something when it becomes absolutely essential that I do it.

wot doesn't give anything, they invite the base to purchase tanks and add ons to enhance your play style. Rember this is a for-profit company and not the Salvation Army and that's OK, profit and greed go together like peanut butter and jelly. One thing wot should keep in mind, the base isn't stupid or foolish, fooled once is tolerable but leaves a lasting impression. Chose carefully wot respect or deceit you can't have it both ways.
