Greetings Commanders!

 

The SPG rebalance test is now in the Sandbox for testing!  I for one like most of the changes on the surface but make sure if you have time to check them out for yourself!

It doesn't involve a complete deletion of arty from the game 0/10.

 

 

There's some potential improvements there, but still has arty so has some blemishes to work out.

I play arty but it's the original sin of this game. It never made sense the way they implemented it. 

What is done is done. Wargaming should man up and remove it: return all the credits and gold to players- take the loss to the player base.  I'm sure the corporate bean counters just won't allow it .

 

Or shut the heck up. All this tinkering solves nothing.

I just don't like how this is going to make arty missions harder than they already are. Not that they are necessarily difficult at the moment, but they do require the right situations and rng. Now we are basically flat out nerfing arty and making the missions more dynamic, requiring even more situational events regardless if the missions are reworked or not. As a heavy-style player, I like the stun reduction and low damage ap shells aren't too much of a concern I don't think, but for the times that I'm going to be forced to play arty, I don't like.

AP and HEAT rounds hitting thin top plates is going to mean more one shots. One shots is why they took away AP and HEAT rounds in the first place and added stun. We're just going in circles.

With 3 firing angles to help that. Looks like a buff to me. And the ability to change those rounds quicker now, yeah baby

I for one am NOT a arty plyer , but better add more ammo from that invisible truck parked behind the arty . I myself think this is a better idea for arty with these changes . Makes it closer or similar to what it wants was . Downside perhaps is makes it much easier to counter arty as well , but I dont care . :popcorn:

Interesting.  Will have to check it out.  Limiting the amount of arty per battle is the easiest way to make it less toxic.

You can only see tracers from the back of the shell, so how the hell will that make any difference. Probably make it so everyone can see the tracers, stupid.

There is a counter for Arty, it's you own teams arty and your fast tanks. This isn't nothing but a massive nerf to appease the poor sports that's precious gameplay is interrupted by arty. I could see the better tracers for those arty players that attempt CB buts that's all, rest of team shouldn't see anything. The SPG rebalance needs to be in the litter box not the sand box.

Well considering the arty cap SB is interesting. 

 

979 players in queue 752 in arty. 

 

At this rate the amount of data pulled from testing is gonna be ginormous.  :P

 

Also arty without stun.  Including "stun" arty running guns that don't stun (i.e. Crusader SP running the short gun) do NOT get the new ammo types.

Can you please point out one massive nerf to arty from what they mentioned about sandbox?

Biggest joke i see is the round looks like it is on fire not a tracer. Tracer is to help the gun crew see where they are hitting and adjust fire. This is only to let all the players see the round not an improvement just a huge joke and shows WG is just getting farther away from anything resembling real life tanks.
